Still such an overly underrated band for the influence it's had over the past decade. This band was in their own realm of structure/composition/song writing and just over all beauty. This is my favorite Braid song, gives me chills!!

to answer some questions. Braid was one of the few "real" emo bands ever. everything else is just tasteless whining. Hey mercedes is no longer together. Cap n jazz had a reunion of sorts last nite, and bob nanna with everyone from braid but chris broach are in a band now called "certain people you know". chris broach does solo stuff and is still w/ the firebird band. the video is split b/t the fireside and the metro. the dvd is great. "IF YOU WANT TO BE A MARTYR TRY HARDER!"

I missed the Braid reunion tour around 04, this VHS is the closest I'll get, one of my fave bands.

Braid is from Champaign not Chicago. They were signed Polyvinyl. They probably would have fit in well at Touch and Go though. T and G, Poly, and Jade Tree are all great labels...worth checking out.
