The unofficial story is that bad management drove it into the ground. There was a USDA loan for a couple of million on the place that was given a few years ago for historical repairs. Alot of that loan has not been paid back, and the bank provided 20% of that same loan. The bank had little choice but to foreclose and are now trying to sell it. The USDA got the shaft on being repaid and is kind of angry about it. It is sad, it was a big part of the history of that part of New Mexico.

It is closed. Very bad management ran the place into the ground. Now the bank is trying to sell the place.
