@talltimwoods well I guess that is because it very hard to find somebody your height, and I bet your height can cause you a lot of troubles on a daily basis. btw, the tallest living man officially is 8'1" Sultan Kosen (Stadnik is only 7'8" max based on all the conclusive photographic and vid evidence). Zhang Juncai is the only other know contender for the tallest livign man title.

And the reason that line about basketball is in there is because, when I talked to my quite tall friends, they pointed out that people assume they're good at basketball even though they're completely unco-ordinated when it comes to sports. :p

Actually the 8,5" you are talking about is a fraud Leonid Stadnik. Even though he's in Guinness the shocking fact is that he was actually never measured officially by Guinness. He actually refuses to be measured by Guinness when asked, and based on visual evidence, he's actually probably only around 7,7 or 7,8". Definitely no where near 8,5" lol!

he didnt want to get measured because he was afraid of too much publicity. there is in fact very little evidence to support that he's 'only 7'8/7. The reason he's still in Guinness is because he WAS measured (just not by them) at 8'5. they put him in the book because there was a HUGE 7 inch difference between his height and the chinese record hold at 7'9

He's basically saying, "hey I am the tallest man in the world at 8,5" and I wouldn't mind being in the your prodigious record book", and then when Guinness asks for measurement as proof, "he says no you may not measure ME because I AM 8,5" WHETHER YOU BELIEVE IT OR NOT!" btw Stadynk isn't the whole guy who exaggerated his height for celebrity status so he's nothing original.

There's more than enough visual evidence to show what his true height is, and there is pretty much no evidence suggesting his 8,4" claim. that's not true. it's from an objective perspective that I've realized myself that Stadnik definitely cannot be 8,4" or even 8 feet. I use to believe his height like everyone else but then I realized that there is something fishy. and from enough analysis, I realized that pretty approximately how tall he REALLY IS (which can be anywhere between 7,6-7,9" actually more like on the lower end of that estimate)
