  • Hard Arch = no problems

  • What DZ is this?

  • Vizzuleyes . Why not a static line course? Then u do things in stages instead of going right to 9-10000 feet. I did a static course last yr

  • Мужик в рубахе родился, полные штаны наверное наложил.

    А инструктора ..........

  • The only thing I saw bad here was that the main side instructor had to dump him out since he did not pull. Repeat level 1. There was a little drama from a backwards launch with no arch but he righted himself.

  • @craigwlund Guess my first at was canceled out by the second : P

  • Fucking Hooah! Lmao "just remember airborne, ias long as you keep your knees together when you land... You probably won't die... But if shit hits the fan, drink water and drive on" -Sergeat Major @ airborneschool

  • Title should be "AFF level 1 goes very bad student loses* both instructors"

    Learn English....

  • the good thing here is student looks good size. his natural fall rate is more than instructors. If it were other way around the instructors might go low and never get relative. I have at least 50 camera jumps and hundreds of relative work jumps so i know what i speak of. that said, these AFF instructors did mess up. things could have been worse if student never got somewhat stable. AAD would ultimately deploy in a no pull scenario. THIS VID CAN BE USED AS GOOD TEACHING TOOL FOR AFF.

  • @raysalsa1 Hey raysalas, I have only done my first tandem jump, but I was thinking, what is everyone talking about that it was the students fault?!? The instructors failed here not the student. My opinion he should have done a tandem first, but that's just me. I also did not even think of your point about weight, I was thinking if needed they could sweep into a dive and catch him but I never thought of the reverse. What would one do (instructor) in that situation? I am a skinny guy, good point!

  • @vizzuleyes well lets say 160 lb AAf instructor was taking 90lb girl on 1st jump. if she gets above him he can only slow down so much assuming she is stable but falling really slow. the instructor should be wearing a baggier jump suit or one with a little wing on it. that couls slow his fallrate if needed. any instructor can go faster by dive and swoop if needed. by the way it really doesn't matter if student has done tandem 1st before AFF. tandem is completely different. hoped that answered ?

  • @raysalsa1 Just what I was wondering thanks for the response. It makes you think why instructors don't have a drag chute equipped just for that type of situation you explained. In the event it happened, deploy the drag chute after student passes cute the drag and hit the burners. I think the only reason tandem is good is because not everyone knows how they will respond physically on the first jump, scared stiff isn't just an expression. lol Thanks again raysalsa.

  • why were the "instructors" jumping forward and the other dude backwards ?????

  • He did ok. Manage to stubilize by himself on first is very impressive

  • Fake. Watch them let go of him. It was staged.

  • Are you kidding me? That's all those douchebag instructors have to say? That is NOT the student's fault...learn to do your job before you bloody kill someone.

  • bahahahaha i dont think this is that bad, we go thru an entire lesson, so that person shoud have known what to do.

  • Fake and gay fake and gay

  • Seriously are you instructors? Get another job cuz you suck ass

  • those instructors were probably SHITTING themselves

  • @rareflorence Hahaha!

  • where was this?

  • In fact, student self-stabilized and he is a big fellow that did not go into a tailspin. and this is only the first level. he has good prospects. Respect

  • @MuffZu I agree! I've seen people lose stability and go into a tailspin while both instructors are holding on to them!! I'm sure he did have quite the heartattack though!

  • @MuffZu You seem to be the only one to notice that this student managed to stabilize his position, face down, properly arched, allowing his instructors to aproach and re-establish contact. Sure it took him a few seconds to do it. Not bad for a new guy!

  • "I shouldn't have eaten all that lasagna yesterday...."

Great job guys for catching him so quick!!! :))

  • he shit on his pants! you can smell it

  • i'll like it because it's in deland!

  • dude he was surely shitting his pants when they lose him...:0

  • i think "gay" parachute is for newbies

  • FAKE AND GAY

  • Fail for both instructors!

  • Props ti the instructors! That was awesome work catching him!

  • @PureAwesome92 lol...shitty work losing him to begin with....the student was already belly to earth by the time they got to him....If he would have held his arch on exit like you are trained......he wouldn't have looked like a big fat guy falling out of control.....he ended up belly to earth....but looks like by luck....

  • He would have been fine. feet and knees together when he lands, drink water and drive on.

  • Maybe I wasn't paying attention as well as I thought I was but I could have sworn the instructors didn't actually grab on to me till we were all out of the plane my first time. Maybe it's different protocol for a side door exit. They looked like they had plenty of time to grab him, 40 seconds at least.

  • h ah anyone could open a parachute

  • @drifter11232 Actually this is wrong. In first jump you can't control anything. You can be lucky and grab the hadn deploy but 99,9% of students made their first jump shooted by adrenaline. It's not that easy to grabd hand deploy while falling at 200km/h to the ground for the first time.

  • doent look liek they where instructors, other wise they whould be atached

  • @rubikfan1 if they were attached it would be tandem. this is AFF, Accelerated Free Fall, no one is supposed to be attached.

  • 2:47 the guy had shit on his pants. he did, totally fuck up.

  • @Troll123 Man i know i do the same things, but i usually reply to a fake name so people look for it but will never find it

  • I'm confused as to why they exited the plane backwards? I'm sure there is a reason, but when I did my AFF1 we exited facing the ground.

  • really needs to clean out his jumpsuit

  • He did well, got himself stabilized and would probably have been fine even if they hadn't caught up with him.

  • Honestly, the guy did a good job. I thought the job of the main side instructor was to stay with the student? But what do I know. He arched, corrected himself, and deployed.....on to CAT B!

  • He forgot everything they taught him for a second, but the instructors got him straightened out and he found his arch. If it had been a big deal they would have deployed his chute as soon as they got hold of him. This was just another day at the classroom with a D student.

  • regardless of this, Deland has the best instructors!! haha

  • @1Mitera Wait DELAND, FL?!!?!?!

  • @rachmaniralf yea. love that drop zone. personally ha

  • ok, i have never done this, but it looked like he went into a dive instead of flattening out so the instructors could get to him. If i ever do that, I am going to them, they did real good in reaching him.

  • I remember my level 1 jump, loved it!

  • Foi pros kiabos!!

  • when i did my first aff out of the super otter we went on our backs and the instrustors never let go of me one tucked up while the other stretched out and it fliped us back over

  • It's not the student who was bad! The instructors were bad. the guy with the white helmet had a bad position to exit + he exited much to late in resulting to unstablelise the formation.

  • Hahahahaha c'mon dude you did well! :D You should be proud!

  • The student didnt do bad. He did the best thing he could. He stayed calm and rode the ride out until the instructors were able to get to him. Some people would of got hit by sudden shock and just decide to deploy the parachute in nerve.

  • @Scorpian472 AFF book i have says when you lose two instructors this is a problem, ARCH and PULL. He didn't do what he was supposed to

  • @jordzzzzzzz Exactly right!!

  • @Scorpian472 Are you a skydiver? I'd like to know where they teach a level 1 AFF to "ride out the ride" when you lose both instructors. 5 seconds to arch, PULL, and save your life! He did exactly what he was NOT supposed to do.

  • @LLAGor1lla lol idc i dont no anything about it i just typed the comment for the sake of it. =]

  • @Scorpian472 I did my ground school for the level 1 yesterday, and they made it clear that if I ever loose both of the instructors then to pull straight away?

  • @cameronjgray Yeah that is correct, even so, he kept is calm.

  • First thing i would do when we hit the ground safely is beat the living hit out those instructor's

  • Comment removed

  • So what would have happened if they never caught up to him?

  • @C1Era His AAD would have fired off at 1200 ft deploying his reserve for him

  • I think there are too many setup "bad" videos to get hits. Not saying this one is. Just makes you wonder. Skydivers looking to have fun. :P

  • I think people are mistaking the title... Dont think its calling him bad.. Its saying AFF level 1 goes very bad ........... student loses both instructors... Should have had when inbetween those two points... However everyones right, I mean i dont know a thing about sky diving but even i think the student did real well here to recover and remain calm enough to do that... Id have shit a brick lol

  • After this jump I'd never go again with the same instructors. They both did a very bad job! Just my 2 cents...

  • The student messed up , he second guesses the jump and doesn't fully exit with his right foot. It puts them in a wierd spin, but i don't get why the instructors let go.

  • thats why "big guys" are good students - they're more stable in air.

btw - i also think that both instructors F***** up...

they all had a lot of luck.

  • good instructors

  • @nivrittimarga lol your joking right?

  • wemen....... just wemen.....

  • Both instruktor looses student

  • I like how the camera guy accelerated, after the student opened his chute, so he could be on the ground for the landing.

  • Good instructors. Smart enough to protectnthemselves but not lose site of student. Nice work

  • Learning out of a skyvan? Damn, all I got was a 182 lol

  • Instructor is a student :D

  • No question on whether or not its fake, its fake b/c they let go when they easily could have held on.

  • Obviously fake: if it were real the woman would be on the ground making sandwiches.

  • @MrSirlulzalot

Sandwiches of shit and period blood just for you.

  • 2:16 Oh. wait if your holding the parachute who's holding the camera <.<

  • @MrMiamary65 maybe hes using a go pro hd camera

  • @MrMiamary65 probaly a helmet camrea

  • Look! It's a blue whale! Falling out of the sky!

  • HA! i love the girl instructor! she was my instructor too, now she works at skydive sebastian and shes awesome!

  • student: "I totally fucked it up"

instructor: [this guy has no frakin' clue how badly I failed him] "aahh you did good man! ..get in the truck"

  • he did'n fuck up the instructors did. he saved himself.

  • That is the slopiest jump i have ever seen. OMG what the fuck were they trying to do.

  • @32ndegree It was an AFF student that exited on "2" instead of "3", got out of control, and had two very good instructors that got back to him, finished the skydive, AND pulled his main canopy for him. Basically, You're an idiot.

  • @mrmusclepants These are not two very good instructors. They both let go for no reason. It was not because they were thrown off they simply let go. I have 2500 AFF videos, and have never seen such a poor represenation of instruction ever. I would fire both of them.

  • i know why this happened the student is black

  • exit should be done forward in this case....

  • 1:33 scared the hell out of me!!!!!!!

  • Mismatch in body size. Glad I didn't wait for AFF to come out before I learned to jump.

  • i would say the instructors are very good look how close they remained during the chase

  • Couldnt agree more with the comments, instructors should loose their ratings......hopeless communication. Primary is more at fault but the exit wasnt that bad ! only a student who arched saved them from a cypress fire or worse. Ego's should be left on the ground

  • Never done.........

Do not use that phrase ever again.

  • Comment removed

  • I thought he was black at the beginning of the video.

  • the first question is...y do they fall backwards LOL

  • i totaly fucked up??? You were the only one who did GOOD. Weak ass instructors who can`T hold on. And i agree with wreagfe. He should advance at least 4-5 jumps, cause that was a 15 sec unstable FF jump. lol

  • fucking imbeciles , hope the plain had crash and you would all been killed

  • did he piss his pants at 2:50 ? there is a dark patch around his arse.

  • this is my afp 1 jump i did 2 days ago youtube.com/watch?v=X2XeR2pZpUE&feature=player_embedded

  • WTF happened to those instructors? Weak wrists? That guy could have died.....they need to go back to school and maybe do some weight training once in a while. Sorry but I think the student was the best jumper on the load.

  • why the fuck is he kicking around. if you dont want to be in the air, dont get on the plane!

  • @MrOmniscient11 It was his first jump fuckhead...

  • but for diver was like this dude said, brown stain down his hahahah bububhahahhahahh

  • nice comeback

  • well! my first level was worst! I couldn't open my parachutte by my self! :S

  • she's pretty kind after all!

  • I guess I missed the part where those instructors should have lost him in the first place....

  • I bet he asked for his money back

  • GTA 4 FREEFALL :D

  • I bet they're just scaring him !!!!!

  • O Gordo quase vira sabão..

  • Why do y'all keep saying it was the instructors fault? This guy was very nervous in the door and went to the sitting position and was severely de-arched on exit, of course he is going to funnel the exit. I funneled my exit on my second skydive ever. Nothing the instructors could have done about that, just keep reminding him to relax and arch. Yea, the main side probably could have done a better job holding onto him, but hell nobody is perfect.

  • looks like the student was very aprehensive jumping out of the plane and it just went bad from the start..

Props go to the student though for the save. If he never got stable those guys would of never got a hold of him.

  • These instructors should be decertified.

  • In English,. What do they teach during the AFF cert. course? If an exit gets unstable the reserve side releases, allows the main side instructor to regain the stability and then the reserve side instructor re-docks. Remember? Do you understand now? it is amazing that some people are able to get ratings...

  • I think that the instructors and the trainee must have the same body size with eachother

  • This guy did a great job at regaining his arch and stabilizing himself. Well done, sir!

I got to my 2nd (or third) AFF and failed because I couldn't control a spin I'd continually go into when let go by the instructors. Always slowly rotated to the right for some reason. I'd dip my left arm lower, but to no avail.

Anybody here a teacher or has enough jump experience to know what I'm doing wrong? I'd love to get back into the sport but failed one level twice because of this problem.

  • @rekunta I'm not an instructor, not even a skydiver - yet. Is there an indoor skydiving facility near you? Maybe some time in a tunnel might help you work through it.

  • @RP7Q9M Nope, my skydiving career is on hold. I'm on Maui, there's no windtunnel anywhere in the state, and the nearest DZ is on O'ahu, a 20 minute plane ride. I don't even know if they certify AFF. It'd be too expensive to jump the puddle every weekend, not to mention gear rental and class costs. Probably have to wait until I move to the mainland to pursue jumping again. :-(

  • @rekunta Hi Rekunta, it could be a combination of things from your legs being unbalanced (fixable by tapping your toes) or a twisted body or a combination of a few things. In truth your instructor should have seen and told you. Best way to proceed from here I suggest would be some tunnel time. You'll be sorted in no time. Blue skies dude

  • Should add some music : i do propose Audioslave, "like a stone".

  • "we got you man" haha my ass you got him

  • ah ah aha h... he's on his back, sit flying, tracking...then head down... he did awesome!!! already looks like he has 500 jumps! ah ah aha ha ha.... amazing!

  • And then...his underwear was ruined.

  • Dudee!!! i Totally fked up... HAHA

  • Wouldn't it be easier for the student to arch right away if they exited sideways or just do a dive exit rather than jumping out backwards? I would personally prefer exiting backwards at a higher level, I mean, it was his first jump after all. He did a good job stabilizing though, and the instructors did a great job catching up with him!

  • that'll get your adrenaline going

  • Cases of beer? Doing an AFF for the first time out of a plane would REALLY be intense.

  • is this at 10000 feet?

  • Well he got stable by himself on the first jump, so he proceeded to level 4 right? ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • title of the video should be "very bad instructors loose student" The idiot on reserve side just let go for NO reason WTF?

  • One instructor has a FS suit on without even having the booties on.

  • Right away I notice how big this guy is... and how tiny the instructors look?? Yeahhhh

  • aprovado!! kkkk

  • Try holding on next time. You guys should both have your ratings pulled.

  • @chris93838 and what..... risk getting kicked in the face

  • AFF 101: exit gets unstable reserve side lets go and mainside fixes it.

  • @chris93838

    ...and in english please?

  • You need to just step off the ac and let the relative wind hit you in the chest. He went with a little jump and that caused him to go into a back flip. He never did a tandem because of his size, I'm sure he did well after this jump.

  • Haha, this was funny! How embarrassing for the instructors and the DZ.

  • I would say "bad instructors, but a good student", because after a bad exit the student stabilized himself.

  • @pestananeto

That was exactly my thinking too. I mean, the guy had never jumped before. They had to have known that, and common sense would surely force you to think "Okay, this guy is new, so he's probably not ready to exit with a GODDAMNED BACKFLIP." I've only ever done one tandem jump, and even I can tell the instructors were grossly neglectful/complacent. It's like they forgot that skydiving means "jumping to your death unless you're doing it right".

  • @pestananeto the student was at fault here aswell. He mest up the exit timing AND did not arch at all. Only later on he did,

  • @jazzthieve "The student was at fault" is a JOKE students are always "at fault." they are guaranteed to make mistakes like the genius below who said " I funneled the exit on my very second skydive ever." NO shit. that's what students do, and the instrctors are supposed to stay with them not LOSE THEM: "Oops, guess I lost him. Well, too bad...."

  • @pestananeto fear teaches u everything

  • did the student finish all levels?

  • If that was my first time i'd be freakin out.

  • 2:48 Reserve chute ?

2 parachuts in one "bag" ?

  • @XPLANEFSX Every skydiving rig contains two parachutes... one main and one reserve. The bottom of the rig contains the main, which is what you see open at 2:48. The top of the rig contains the reserve. As you can see from this video, his reserve was never used.

  • i think is hte other way aorround. Instructor loose the student!!!

  • It's better to do 3 Tandem jumps first. A big student and two little instructors.

  • chutes open by themselves below a certain altitude dont they ??

  • @styXv3ngeance Don't bet your life on it...

  • @styXv3ngeance Yes, they do.

  • @styXv3ngeance

Yes, but they hadn't reached that altitude yet. And just to reitterate TheOldGrady's point: Don't bet your life on it.

  • HOLY SHIT!!! I wa thinking during the slo-mo: "GASP!! Are they gonna catch him?" Are they gonna catch him?! Are they...,.?!" THAT was SO freakin scary! Great vid!

  • fuck yeah deland

  • wtf they let him go

  • bad Student? bad instructors!

  • never done a tandem, fuck that.

  • fantastic first jump!!! the guy kept his cool and kept stable!

  • Инструктора налажали.

  • Very very nice jump. The student. of course. The instructors? ... ... hahaha.
