  • I want to get one of these. I think if I do I might lop off the buttstock to make it even lighter and shorter, pretty much make it an unregulated, 16" barrel pistol. XD

  • @Jhraxlin The Papoose is an awesome rifle. You may want to look at a Ruger Charger or a Kel Tec PLR-22. Both only have 10" barrels and they are light. The Kel Tec is espescially light.

  • I Love Maxpedition products as wee as my Blackhawk knee pads but I especially love my Papoose as a backpack survival rifle and small game harvesting tool.

    I have had virtually no misfires using the 10 round nickel mags and CCI ammo which brings me to my only criticism;

When testing a firearm, you should not use after market mags. The one you had has not had good reviews for reliability and durability and is most likely the cause for your feed malfunctions.

Thanks for all the great vids, Ian

  • Great video. I'm looking for something to carry ammo on my chest (like the one you're wearing) but with the ability to wear a rusksack over it. Any suggestions?

  • was going to get the ar-7 from armalite but due to jamming stories, I'm going with this bad boy.. great vid..

  • damn that is accurate

  • I love the papoose, and love the fact you made a sling for it....I had the gun out a few weeks ago and had some jamming issues with federal .22 rounds but thunderbolt ran just fine. Wish I had BLM near the house!

  • Good shooting!! For what its worth, you are very quick on the recovery from the mag fail.

  • I hear ya on prioritizing gear purchases. I have to remind myself sometimes that I may not need that new bird gun, but I do need to get the wife a good pair of hiking boots.

Great video brother Snow, you handled staying cool while your mag was failing to feed. I would have gotten hot & thrown that piece of junk over the mountain in the distance : )

  • Can't tell you how much of my gear is in the category of what I can afford right now with the rest of the gear. My sleeping bags are a good example of that. They work but are heavy. Nice shooting, looks like fun.

LOL, me and my bro-in-law just had a discussion on kneepads last night working around his house.

  • What are the distances of those plates?

  • Great video man Nice shooting.

  • @The1MOA Nutn"s Shooter's Ridge video was a little late for me. I already had the magazines when the video came out. Oh well. Now there are two people who have had the same experience with these mags. Thanks for watching and commenting. Take care my friend.

  • Very innovative with the sling.

  • @TheAZexplorer Thanks! LadyLobo actually spotted the clip for the sling. I have to give her credit.

  • Nice run skinny!

  • @HawkLMT Skinny! Who you callin' "skinny"? You are looking pretty trim these days as well brother:)

  • Awesome vid there Snowy, great camera work by LBS, i think you will find those Shooters ridge mags are POS, quite a few vids out showing major failures, but as you say you dont know till you test it. How did you find the G34? good stuff brother, thank you for sharing looked like a great time, best wishes and take care

  • @TheDishD Dishy! Thanks for watching my friend! Unfortunately I got those shooters ridge mags before any vids came out showing what crap they are. Oh well. My experience is yet another data point. The G34 is TheLateBoyScout's. I think he bought it locally on the second hand market. It was fun to run it. Take care my Aussie brother!

  • It seems that this shooting weekend had multiple benefits. Everything from fellowship to education. Just as LBS mentioned, great job on the video editing. But I don't know why you didn't dive face first into the mud puddle for training purposes..hahaha! Blessings to you buddy.

  • @mizooch70 It was a very fun weekend and beneficial for gear testing. Maybe I'll have to try the mud dive next time lol.

  • It's a good day when a SL video pops up in my sub box. Looks like you guys had a good time. May I ask what sunglasses you had on? I just ordered a pair of the 511 tactical "ascends" and those look like one of the other models they had. Thanks

  • @StayingFr0sty Ah you are too kind with your comments brother. Tank you. My sunglasses are Ironman from a local sporting goods store. They aren't too expensive. Actually I recently saw them for even cheaper at Walmart. The fact that they are selling them takes away some of the cool factor for me lol. I like 511. I haven't tried thier glasses but I have other 511 gear that I am very pleased with.

  • tooled up with a lot of gear just to shoot some targets.

  • @7890cv and testing gear for review and most important of all Having fun!

  • Nice job man! Love your run and guns...

  • @GUNQUEST21 Thanks man! I appreciate you watching and commenting.

  • check out nutfancy review of this magazine (I have tried some magazines of 22 and this one sucked)

  • @leomantles Thanks for the heads up on the Nutn shooters ridge mag video. Unfortunately I bought these right before his video came out. Oh well. It gives some other experiences with them.

  • Great Video again! Your so awesome! What a great shot you are and are teaching me so much! Love ya!!!

  • @LadyLobo95 You teach me a lot about life. Love you 2!

  • Awesome stuff man. Your a good shot brother, those mags are no bueno. The gear had super cool factor and it was awesome to see the little refile in person. Good stuff brother.

  • @ScoutsNOA Thanks brother. Yeah those magazines are junk. You witnessed multiple failures with them last weekend. Take care my friend and thanks for the kind words.

  • Well done, buddy. Great editing, as usual. All the notes at the bottom were really helpful in letting us all know what's going on with what as we're watching - great touch. Let me just be the first to tell you, "that's a survival rifle so you can't use it for tactical stuff!" LOL. Of course we know that, but like you said, resources are limited, and you've got to make use of what you have (hmm, kinda like our forefathers did when they fought off the British, eh?)

  • @TheLateBoyScout Thanks my friend. My shooting videos are always better because of your interaction in them. I like the forefathers analogy. So true! Thanks for the use of the Glock 34 and Maxpedition gear btw.
