the striker was always looking for it. The first one was definitely a dive as there was no contact whatsoever. Second one he was diving too albeit with some contact but definitely not warrant for a penalty nor should it be a yellow, but he just needs to improve his acting skills, it look too fake and I thought he dived too. Totally deserved it for trying to play cheat there.

Juanfran may have gotten fouled (barely), but he's guilty of overacting. The flight he took through the air had nothing to do with the foul. Especially since he already got caught overacting earlier in the match.

I can see the second one being called a dive from the refs angle (it wasnt a dive and it was a clear penalty in slow motion) but the slide ref was looking for knee contact not the guy stepping on his boot. Well we see the both are fouls and thus should have been called penalties in both cases. But remember, we saw both plays several times in slow motion, different angle. The referee got to see them once in realtime and from obscure angles. Let me say this, just cuz he does get fouled doesnt mean he should dive and make it look fake. I bet he wouldnt of put the special effects on either, he would have gotten both of the calls and the referee crew's judgment wouldnt have been questioned.

The way I see it, the first situation isn't that obvious. The second one is pretty clear when you can watch the replay.

Unfortunately, the striker aslo dives in both cases. There is no denying that he is helping out a lot, so right there and then it must look like a clear dive to the ref.

Call it karma. If he wasn't such an actress, he probablty would have been given both penalties.

As for the second one it is clearly a penalty. The AR should have helped the center referee out here as he was much closer and had a perfect angle. btw the AR chewing gum on international tv doesn't look very professional. it's unfortunate for the Osasuna player- he should not have been sent off.

Overall poor decisions by the referee crew. I'd say give them the benefit of the doubt from the first one because that is such a difficult angle for both the center referee and the AR to see what happened. It is easy for us to watch the replay from the perfect angle but much harder for them at live pace. The referee did not have to give him a yellow card for the first one though, at most he should have considered that he went down as a natural part of play and not done anything.
