Avira anti-virus is said to be better than Avast! Antivirus. Is this true? I use Avast and swear by it.....it is incredible. How is Avira better, anyone care to tell me?

@modewr I had a freind using avast,and he still kept getting ad ware/spywere/trojans. So i uninstalled avast and i stuck avira on and it cleaned up his pc :) i highly recommend avira it is great at protecting.

Avira is the best A.V I've ever used. Only problem is searching time is too long. Other than that, it!s perfect!

For some reason every time I do a complete system scan with Avira....my whole computer freezes up about halfway into the scan and I usually just turn the power off to my computer when it freezes. One day I just left the computer on while it was frozen and I got a blue screen and some type of warning...and i had to reboot my computer in safe mode. This only happens when Im tryin to do a complete system scan with Avira. Can any1 help me because Im thinkin of switching to AVG if this continues

@Tmurda2k5 wow atm my grandmas computer has the same warning its her computers background. it says WARNING then a whole bunch of stuff written underneath it. is it the same for u? if so its most likely a virus insted of an antivirus software.

avira antivirus can be downloaded form free-av(dot)com, it seems that you came across some clone/rogue software having similar graphics as that of Avira

It's free for as long as you want it to be free. There are some con's about the free version. It lacks features like spy-ware protection and a pop up(1) about the full version before every automatic update. It's purely for a reminder that you should purchase it. I've tested many free & paying protection's and this was one of the best!

avira is a good antivirus it does the job but it deleted all my game cracks (game cracks r no cd needed to run ur games) so then i have to redownload all the cracks for my games ....avira thinks game cracks r viruses...
