So, this is the first Cooper song I've heard.
I'm Christian, but I listen to alot of secular stuff. I tried to stay away from the satanic stuff. I heard the lyrics and was like "This from a shock rocker?!" :O
It actually sounds really good.
Especially for a 60 year old. I mean, seriously, he sounds like a kid. So weird. Not that I'm complaining. I'm gonna go buy this song and check out the album :D

OK. tHE SONG SALVATION IS OFF OF THE SPIDER ALBUM. IT IS A CONCEPT ALBUM ABOUT A SERIAL KILLER. THIS SONG IS HIS LAST HOPE OF TRYING TO MAKE GOOD. NOT ABOUT COPPERS OWN BELIEFS. IT IS AN ALBUM. A STORY. MAYBE IF YOU BOUGHT IT AND LISTEN TO IT ALONG WITH THE LYRICS AND PLOT LINE. MAYBE....AND ONLY..MAYBE WOULD YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT THE PLAY IS. i hope all of you get this message: this is his very specific song that gives evidence for his faith and his invitation for anyone who listens to him that they can experience the same grace. if you think i'm wrong and that i'm just caught up in my own religion to view something objectively, watch his more recent interviews. reminds me my change one day in 1993... next day after my prayer to Jesus I was made totaly new man... it felt strange at first but then became my new nature... no more swearing, no hate, no anger, no more stupid religious indoctrination etc. but real peace and joy instead.

because thats what made Alice famous was his sand paper growl, and nobody does it better than coop. But I agree he should sing more often, he has a really nice voice.
