@TheMrNarutohead Well, considering that some like Nelson Mandela and Mother Theresa (true not Cdn) didn't die young, I think it is more a sad perception than reality... we need to keep our eyes open that good is not dying with Jack and others we put our hopes on, see so many around us who may no longer be in the public eye as much but working very hard for good, and others like David Suzuki who are very visible too. I am not political and I am not an NDP supporter, and that doesn't matter. When Jack Layton spoke, he was speaking to "all " Canadians and he had a great message, and a very honorable demeanor. I truly respected and liked this man and his message and I am very sad we lost him. My heartfelt sympathy to his loving wife and kids. God Bless You jack Layton..we will miss you..alot.

Jack Layton was without a doubt the best politician Canada has had in a long time. His character, patriotism, and optimistic spirit has inspired many including myself to not live everyday life in a selfish manner, but to strive to achieve a better Canada, one of equality, one with better environmental policies, one that does what is right and not just for financial gains.

Jack Layton's legacy will forever be remembered by my generation, he gave hope to a new generation. Thank you Jack Layton RIP
