  • I enjoyed it very much! As I was watching them both enjoy it thoroughly, I thought two things.

    1) What a cool grandma who still has some incredible dexterity in her fingers.

    2) What a neat young man who isn't "too cool" to play a duet with his grandma. Must be one heck of a neat family!

  • Hi @kevtrout ,

Really appreciate your comments, and I completely agree with both of your observations. My mom is a very good piano player (she also sings in a couple of choirs and choruses). My son, Scott, is an accomplished musician, composer, musical director in the Toronto area, who absolutely loves playing this duet with his grandma! Definitely a musical family!

  • My beautiful Grandma!!!! and my bro...

  • If you would like a very clean xerox of my original copy I would be happy to send it to you. If not by mail then by pdf when I return to work in Jan. Let me know. We only play off the xeroxes for fear of losing this original I found on EBay. Our old xeroxes were wretched.

  • @themdna22 My mom is hoping to get a copy of the sheet music also. My son is 9 and has taken piano lessons for 3 years. She's hoping that she can also do the grandson/grandma thing in a few years. Could you e-mail me the pdf? Thanks!

  • Thank you so much for this. My daughter found it after looking for 1 1/2 hours. We have played this every year for over 50 years. Our piano teacher had all her students perform it every Christmas recital since we started lessons in the 50s (she probably was doing this many years before us. Two years ago I found an original copy of the sheet music -- we had been using photocopies from our piano teacher. Thanks, again!

  • @themdna22 our copy is probably 50 years old! (maybe older). Every time I go to turn a page I worry it's going to crumble in my hands.

  • That's great! I wish I had a grandmother alive to play pieces like this with!
