if you feel so inclined please consider making some sick Air Trek style roller blades. sure the tires would be very wide but it would still be awesome! either way Awesome wheel motor. A+

lol everyone is saying Hmm air treks? or hmm you can make air treks with this! well trust me. there is much much more then this on using airtreks. this is just step one haha. trust me..

idk what you did this for.... but if it could be a tad bit thinner and smaller, wouldn't it be fit for an AT? lol but to be an AT, it'd have to be pressure activated by the heel. err.... yeah. that'd be hard.

as soon as you put up how you did this... im doing this on roller blades ^^ why have many small wheels when you can just have 2 bigger ones on each blade? they dont have to be over sized.. just big enough to work properly :P ^^ so yeah... cant wait :D and your a smart ass xD >.> i cant make those kind of things with out instructions for crap... :D WELL DONE! *clap*

Stability. Having two large wheels shortens your wheelbase substantially, and is a bigger lever against your ankle. I haven't figured out how speed-skaters manage it.

Working on it. Problem is, roller blade wheels are tiny, and tiny is bad for torque.

But if you were to just make the rest of the roller blades a little bigger and use different wheels couldn't you get more torque?

dont use the the agressive types cause you wont get anything outa that unless you make em heavier which isnt good for the lightness aspect but the regular inlines are as close as it will get to the scooter types which are mmuch larger as you knowperhaps the answer is in the wheel figure out exactly how the wheels need to be in soe sort of draft maybe have a sketch dont and make a new kind of wheels but i think it would be simpler to manage with two wheels each blade

If you like could you send me the work you have done on this so far so that i can take a deep look at it. It seems like if you created this for something as small as a skate torque won't be the only problem. wear and tear on the gears will occur after a short period of time no? Also are you a student of Engineering?

There are no gears. It's a direct drive motor. Wear on the tire (not mounted in the video) is the only concern I should have about it.
