  • omg, little bear :-) so CUUUUTE!!! I want a man to call me things like that too, that's so affectionate!!!I hope you are happy!!!

  • Awwwww lil bear and big bear cute.

  • AMEN!

  • Only people involved in the marriage can ruin that marriage, not someone else external. If someone is that insecure about their marriage then perhaps they should see a counselor rather than take their anger out on other married people.

  • I think it was Bill Hicks who said something like "..everybody who is stupid enough to get married and thinks it lasts for ever should have the right to do it.." I think so too. Btw I'm not gay and I don't want to marry. I think getting married is gay. lol

  • How good of you to grant gays civil union. Who are you to decide what people may or may not have, especially if you claim the same as a right?

Your bigotry is not from God, please accept your views as your own without hiding behind God. You would oppose gay marriage even if it was not conducted in a church. You are what you are sexually, but you made the choice to be a bigot.

  • Really? You sure it doesn't have anything to do with hospital visitation rights? That's what I'D want.

  • The property and monetary aspects of marriage are not addressed that often. Legal marriage protects self-empowerment. No reason to have to circumvent discriminatory laws. This video is refreshing.

  • Great Video & Message; And I Wish You Both All The Best In Life.

  • Amazing isn't it...2 strangers (heterosexual) can meet and 24hrs later..get married....and have the 1400+ federal Rights & Protections.....that 2 Gay or lesbians who've been together for yrs, can't even get....its a G-Dam disgrace...Liberty & Justice for All my Ass! America is a LIE, a RUSE, a FACADE! If people got to vote 40yrs ago on "Civil Rights/Inter-racial" marriage...it would still be Illegal!

  • i hear ya ...but america is NOT "...a lie, a ruse, a facade!..." its the people, the american people or more so the majority of american people, who are ignorant and do not understand the laws this country were founded on. learn the constitution - separate church and state, and understand what is meant by equality for all. im not an expert, far from it, but i know so many people who voted w/out knowing anything; ignorance - it hurts people.

  • I think it's great that you made this video and are raising awareness of why this is important to you. Until now I really didn't understand what the issue was all about.

  • I was wondering how did you meet Little Bear? you know? I believe in gay marriage. I am straight but think people should marry who they love

  • I'll make a fresh video about this soon. It's our pleasure to share and listen.

  • Questions:

Could you just give someone Power of Attorney for medical reasons and financial stuff to accomplish the same thing? I assume also you could draw up a will to leave all of your stuff to each other?

Mostly these questions are because I have no idea. I don't oppose gay marriage at all and I think people should marry whoever they want to, but I am curious if there are other legal ways to accomplish the same thing?

  • For things like pension, the spouse would be entitled to have life-long payments, but nobody else, same for retirement savings plan. If married and you died without a will, the spouse would automatically get everything, if no spouse it goes to the child and if none, then to the State, I believe. Being married does give you rights you can't arrange for with a will, power of attourney, etc. Good question - many people don't know. Peace, Sandy

  • Thanks for that answer. The video and this answer help me better understand the whole situation.

  • My pleasure... I worked in the investment industry and dealt with money, pensions, wills, etc... I've seen it all, and a lot of it is very messy even when you believe you've battened down the hatches with your own affairs. Marriage helps sort that crap out a little better, essentially. Peace, S

  • Well, currently, we have little choice but to rely on the legal tools you named. However, they do not carry the strengh of "marriage," and I don't believe it's just that G & L couple have to resort to such tools. I think it's a simple matter of justice.

  • I completely agree! There are human rights - not to be doled out based on antiquated ideas, but for ALL. If some of these decision-makers had their way, we'd still believe the Earth to be flat! If we could make THAT reality exist for some people, I know a few I'd toss over the edge! Peace, love and compassion for you, Sandy xoxoxoxo
