got to be cod 1 russian campaign crossing the volga river having the nazis shooting you at all sides and you only have to run forward...DAMN THAT WAS INTENSE! hope i win =)
i like the atmosphere in hard reset only played the demo but it reminded me of my first time playing bioshock and reminded me of bladerunners atmosphere as well and the gameplay mechanics are great also
I have many memories of playing Star War Republic Commando with my friends. Got really good at it, but we all ended up joining different clans and stopped playing together. The game was polished up very well for when it was released and it they just updated it once more to remove some of the glitches and cheats used in multilayer it would meet up with a lot of the standards for today's games.
My favorite old school shooter memory was staying up for a weekend playing goldeneyes 64 multiplayer with my mates (we made 45 hours before we started to fall asleep)
Fondest memory of an old school shooter is back in one of my computer classes in High School. We all installed demo's of Unreal Tournament in the lab we had class in. Instead of working on the class work we had, we'd organize class wide CTF games. Our teacher eventually found out. Instead of being pissed, he was actually proud that we networked all the computers. From then out he'd divide the class up every morning for CTF rounds for the first 10min of class and play with us. Greatest class ever
Hard Reset to me is like Doom 2.0, or what doom should have been. Hard Reset uses the environment in such a creative way that it becomes like a game of cat and mouse on the harder difficulties!
If i do get the game im so gonna play the heck out of it, im an old school shooter fan and these games are coming out these days aren't cutting it for me. Hard Reset seems like a healthy reset :)
And to you GamingWithDieunloved thanks for doing something like this and good luck to your awesome channel!
Saw this game, and loved it be I don't have any money, would love to play this.
Also, I did play Golden Eye 64, fun game played with my brother on mulitplayer alot and he would always get the Golden Gun, I hated him so much but the Proxy Mine Wars always were my favorite.
Great contest. My fondest memories are of Doom 1& 2, and Rise of the Triad, playing for hours into the night. Hard Reset reminds of those, and I've got it on my wishlist.
My fondest game memories aren't doom or doom2 or anything that old, but it actully is Painkiller, I liked painkiller because it's the first game I finished without cheating, and I liked it because of the difficulty curve and replability value of each level, Go back and unlock the cards why not, wait, play on trauma to get the real story, OFCOURSE!!
To this day I don't think I've played and enjoyed another game as much as that game, and I still have fond memoires when I think about staking stuff
to the wall (There is even a level where you need to do that to get the card!)
Otherwise I'd like to say, the game looks amazing and I ofcourse hope that I win, but if I don't I probably still buy it, good games are rare these days, esp FPS'ers that aren't clones of CS (I played that while it was beta, yay flying snipers)
I'd like to finish of by saying that these lets play looks amazing and I've watched them all, and this is my entry for the drawing of the free Hard Reset
Fell in love with this game after an encounter with one of the earlier big charging robots. I managed to blow off both of its legs, and one warm, with the shotgun upgrade, but it kept crawling towards me on a single arm. Now that's awesome gaming right there.
I've just finished it and made a thread on STEAM forum when I saw your Giveaway.Did not heard of HR until today my friend showed me. I started to play and finished it in one session. I liked the atmosphere, the game is quite hard even on normal which is refreshing theese days. Techically is great, no bugs, very fluid and responsive. Liked those small futuristic comercial stations :) I've stoped at every I noticed just for laugh.
My 1st FPS acutally was Doom, but to express that I need ++space.
One of my ALL TIME fav game was natural selection all ways loved it scared the shit out of me some times and made me piss my self. it has very uniqe game play Cant wait for number 2 WOULD LIVE TO PLAY IT!!!! WOOOOT
But if you guys are sort of new you have to practice a SHIT load trust me took me about a week or 2. And that is my fav game of all times
My best gaming memory is probably from times of Wolfenstein 3D. I was a very young little kind, so when I spawned at level 1, I was extremely scared to open the door and fight. I was scared I could die. :-D So I usually just watched how my brother plays. Good ol' times.
Aw man this game is just crazy insane which is exactly what I like.
I played the steam demo and my brother madly enjoys it. He's beaten it on every difficulty except insane which he says he's stuck on the final boss..which I can't imagine. I've seen Atlas and I love big bosses! Reminds me of Shadow of the Colossus but WAY better. Hard Reset is genuinely one of those great ass games that's hard to find anymore and I can't wait to get my hands on it.
Recently I have been playing through some of my older games, in fact I just completed the original Half Life a few hours ago. Quake has to be the game I remember the best though, popping out of the water and killing people in a Predator-esq fashion combined with rocket jumping all over the map provided endless hours of entertainment. Hard Reset looks like a nice throwback to the games I loved as a child, and I would obviously love to win a copy. Cheers

Fondest memory: The first Alien versus Predator game. Maybe one of the creepiest games i've ever played. It's an really old game and it's graphics might be outdated, but it's simply amazing when you play the game as an Colonial Marine. When you play this game at midnight and an alien jumps out of nowhere you'll know what fear means.
Call of Duty Big Red one was awesome, great story line. one of my all time fav games though was CS:S just owning it up at Gungame. gotta love the good old games. hard reset looks pretty awesome, in your opinion, what was the best part about it?
@gunslingerjbk well im playing on normal and im getting my ass kicked lol but ya its old school fps like when all the mobs run at you trying to rip off you face. but if you dont win buy it is a good game and its only 30
@GamingWithDieunloved Nice, ill look into it. it def looks good. how long is the campaign? i normaly dont buy single player games just becase they are not long enough to get my money out of it lol. you play any other fps's?
@mbe102 Wow, Medal of Honor Allied Assault was my first FPS game too. It was the first time I played any game multiplayer and got killed... alot. I liked the "D day" part, where you came from boats and needed to clean the towers. I liked the Church too.
I would like to get Hard Reset, because it looks like a nice Future FPS indie game. I am a fan of indie games and when I saw first teaser, I wanted to get it. =)
Well I rocked the jazz. Fondest memory: Medal of Honor Allied Assault Single Player Demo (played the full game). First FPS on PC I ever played. Going up against the Tank in the town, clearing the buildings, building to building was intense. I'd played GoldenEye but nothing came close to this. The Church has to be the most amazing part. Taking cover behind grave stones, working your way up to it under MG fire is just amazing. That and it was so close to realism as I'd seen, it just floored me.
Damn, I've never won anything in my life... thats a bit of a heart breaker. :(.
