1. Tommy Morrison = very short, very quick and was bone breaking!
2. Tua = devastation pure and simple! just ask Michael Moorer and John Ruiz
3. Razor Ruddock = The smash, more like a hybrid uppercut hook. extreme power
4. Joe Frazier = for his size, very strong left hook but it was very wide
5. Rocky Marciano. at 185 lbs we all know how hard he hit

Just made me an OK amateur! the best left hook I've seen was SR Robinson against the extremely tough Gene Fullmer.

great punch, Morrison just lacked a few more weapons in his arsenal to be truly great, Fraziers was obviously a great left hook as well and Henry Coopers left hook was also one of the best ever for boxing purists in terms of technique and of course Sugar Ray's against Gene Fullmer was pretty much not just the perfect left hook but the perfect punch

@franky543 I think the spin was from the momentum of his own punch. If you notice, he spins in the wrong direction. He spins into the punch, instead of away from it. Thats like getting hit by a linebacker and flying forward instead of backwards. The spin wasn't from Morrison's punch. With that said, Morrison did have a hell of a left hook.

Joe dropped Ali with a perfectly timed left hand to be thrown as Ali throws a right uppercut, it was the instructions given to him by his trainers yank and Eddie Futch. Both the staggering in the 11th round and the 15th round knock down happened exactly that way. Frazier may not of hit as hard as Morrison , just maybe, but his timing was far more better than Morrisons.

Neither Smokin' Joe nor Tommy Morrison has the "best left hook. " They just throw it more than any other punch and that's what we remember them for. Iron Mike is undoubtly higher ranked in this category and he is far from the top as well.

@ORL4X but its not just about the strength, its about timing footwork speed, accuracy and guts, Joe Frazier was able to knock down Mohammed Ali who had survived against George Foreman, the hardest puncher the sport had ever known. Tua's may be stronger, but Frazier's was a better hook in every other area.
