Bob Hawke is a drunken union lackey and a retarded tool...I still remember how him and Keating had a million people unemployed. Worst prime minister ever. Dont let the Aussie Oi Oi Oi Fair Dinkum dyed in the wool dingo loving beer swilling lovable buffoon image Bob Hawke portrays himself as fool you. The bloke is a dickhead and forever will be.
Howard slid out of his seat like a compacted turd slides out of the arse of an overweight, pie-eating dockworker taking a dump after a week of gut clenching constipation. Check Mungo McCallum's great book RUN JOHNNY RUN and the repeated gag of the rodent being nicknamed the "unflushable turd". When the little shithead missed out on being made head of the ICC you could hear his nasal whine of "Ehhhwwwwwhwwhhwwww" emanating around the country. War criminal Johnny, the future is waiting...
like old school labor can talk, they were responsible for 10% unemployment back in the day. i bet those workers were really worried about their rights while on the dole que.
@whessly wake the fuck up labor weren't resposible for 10% unemployment. There was a frigging world wide recession at the time so unless Labor can magically control events within the biggest economies in the world they had fuck all to do with it. Before you point at interested rates aswell you need to get something into your head. Keating lifted the cap on interest rates and due to the global situation at the time they went up dramatically. Of course lib lovers slam him for it but
@whessly as it turns out Jonny howard the coward and his buddies years later admitted that what Keating did was the right thing at the time given the economic situation. Libs are a pack of scumbags that would have the average aussie on his/her knees given half the chance.
@AndyG1678 if u honestly believe that u have no ideamlacolm fraser was the worst we have had by a long way, had no idea how to control employment, the economy and his own party.
liber8me- please, afford our houses under howard the social divide widened.. 2 yrs ago u bastards told us all how rudd and labor would destroy australia. not only did this labor govt avoid the recession, it helped keep australians afloat. what did u do with your stimulus? save it? fuck wit. look back on aust history, liberals only prosper due to hard decisions labor make and then they fuck up and quite rightfully get bounced. if only u donut punchers could understand that. read ur history books
wow, immature gits like yourself say a lot about the support base of the ALP.
you're so brainwashed its pathetic. i have refuted all of your attacks on the liberals so call you can come up is insults. quite sad. grow up. im tired of debating with someone who obviously still lives with their mummy
yep, more insults and nothing of relevance. i can see that you're too immature to have a debate. all i can say is that your juvenile intellect says more about the labor party and its supporters than i ever could
its incredibly juvenile of you to just continue to make petty insults instead of backing up your claims with evidence. i have told you that statistically speaking, life is better for EVERYONE.
oh and unlike you i do not think the party i support is infallible, i have been disgusted with most of the idiots at state level for quite a few years now.
you're so brainwashed you support a prime minister who is so conservative he wants to censor the internet. rudd is more conservative than turnbull!
nope, all you do is make petty insults. im afraid that says more about your maturity than it does portray your party in a positive light.
it is just a fact that people are better off under the liberals. they are more likely to have a job and be able to afford the repayments on their house.
lol and there you go again. you're too ignorant to debate the issues so you resolve to petty insults. grow up. really are you about 15 years old? you sound like a brainwashed child with all your rants. at least i can justify why i support a party

yep and it makes as much sense quoting rogue liberals to attack the party as it does me quoting latham to attack rudd.
actually id say that id rather have turnbull as pm than rudd - at least turnbull's had a real job and was smart enough to make money, all rudds done in have a cushy job in the public service and live off his wife.
oh and the previous statement about the carbon trading scheme and rudd being a hypocrite still stands
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
yep pathetic, just more insults, won't even debate that fact that rudd is a fool who either doesnt give a shit about the environment or jobs because he's just using the carbon trading scheme as a political tool and not to do any good.
oh and Wilson Tuckey is not in the cabinet and has a long history of undermining leaders. quoting him as a way to attack the libs is like me quoting latham or some other idiot, than again i guess someone like you probably was stupid enough to vote for that fat fool
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
is that all you have to offer? insults? i make a valid point that rudd is only using the emission targets as a political ploy and either doesnt care about either the environment or jobs and you just turn around and offer brainless droning.
oh, and Wilson Tuckey is an idiot who has done nothing but stir up trouble while sitting in a safe seat and do nothing else.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
the youth vote who want to save the planet?
and labor understands it? rudd is nothing but a hypocrite. if he really believes in climate change than he knows that he needs to cut emissions by more than 5% to have any impact and he does not care about the environment. if he does not believe in climate change than the 5% cuts are nothing but a stunt for votes.
The ALP are only in power for a 'transition' period from the Libs to the Greens. Bring on the republic. Bob Brown for the first Australian President!!!!!
i'm all for the greens, but they can't be a government.
not even the ALP govt. of the early 1970s - probably the most visionary govt. we've had, and with genuine legal and economic talent in whitlam and cairns - could come close to managing our economy.
the greens getting support is great so that the major parties know to 'green up' their policies. but bob brown in charge of the national account? forget it

I don't find it hard to believe that the labor government has turned ten years of budget surplus into deficit in only twelve months, how the hell can u spend billions like that?
Rudd is nowhere near our best prime minister, he is a lot better than howard but he can't hold a candle to Keating or Hawke. These guys stood up for what they believed in while they were in the top job, spoke their minds, and didn't simply say things they knew would appeal to the majority of dumb australians. Rudd is a demagogue, he is conservative enough to be a Liberal party member and quite frankly he is just a boring, somewhat safe, prime minister rather than inspirational or reformist.
This character likes to portray himself as an advocate for the rights of the working class. But don't forget what he did to the pilots when they went on strike for a decent and well deserved pay rise.
You forget Gough, otherwise I agree- Alot of Rudd's appeal is the fact that he succeded Howard and after that bastard, the texan chainsaw nutter would look good.
What did Hake do for this country. Brought back University fees, as shown to be against unions and allowed Packer and Murdoch to buy all the newspaper. Now we are stuck with one paper towns. Unionism gave him his start and he stabbed us in the back....
They'll never ever learn...the Liberals liked to talk about 'Me-too' politics...I think they're obsessed with 'Me-me-me' politics - what's in it for *me*, and to hell with everyone else!
