Poor girl :( I know how that feels. I wouldn't go on the same attraction at Atlantis because of my fear of the stomach-dropping feeling of falling. Even though I got around to riding the Intimidator which may be worse than this, I totally know how she feels. However, under these circumstances I probably would have sucked it up and done it.
but seriously, if i was mika i would've at least tried for the other person, cuz you could see how frustrated canaan was. i mean you're not going to be comfortable doing everything in the race but its not just you in the race, you have to do it for the other person.

Canaan was right, Mika was a moron and she whined like a big baby from the beginning. We all have fear and it would be an achievement to conquer our fear sometimes. She should know what she would expect before she went to the show.
A question: If you're deathly afraid of both heights and water, why would you go on The Amazing Race with no intent to overcome those fears? Having fears is normal. So is facing them. Mika looked like a complete coward here and it got her eliminated... she has to live with that guilt for the rest of her life.
Let's hope she learned her lesson: You need to face your fears and overcome obstacles to get somewhere in life.
Besdies, maybe she thought she could overcome her fear, maybe she didn't think there would be any height issues. There have been a few seasons where the players didn't have to do anything that required heights.

It COULD have been a life/death matter. It's a big slide, and they were telling them to cross their legs and hands. Canaan was trying to push her down it. She could've gotten hurt.

I hate that they cast people who are scared of heights and/or water..they KNOW that every season there is road blocks/ detours that have to do with both...it makes me mad because i would love to do all of those adventurous things and so would many other people, and its a shame that its wasted on people like Mika.
