  • So-called "gay rights" has absolutely nothing to do with equality. One example is hate crime legislation, whereby an assault directed at a gay person will bring a different (greater) penalty than upon someone else. Different is obviously not equal!!!! Talk to me about equality when we all share the same public bathrooms and there are no gender distinctions on sports teams. Also, the Oscars can drop "best actor" and "best actress" and have just one award. I won't be holding my breath...

  • You do raise a good point!

  • Nice try.....didn't it REQUIRE legislation before whitey was willing to share his public restrooms? Was it all that long ago that we had ALL white sports teams? Clearly this issue requires government intervention as well.

  • My point is that you will never, ever see gay groups or feminist groups calling out for true gender equality. Professional sports teams are only one example. I - a male - cannot join the women's tennis team. That is fair, but certainly not equal. "Equality" is the simply the wrong word. "Fairness" is more accurate. And, comparing white/black issues with male/female issues is a very weak argument. Weak arguments and incorrect use of "equality" does not help your cause.

  • Black, gay, female.....I'm sure it pretty much feels the same when a majoity is stepping on your neck. Nit-picking over terminology......is that the best you've got?

  • Actually, females are in the majority, because there are more women than men. Even white males are discriminated against. It happens to everyone. It is time for people to get out of victim mentality and making excuses and take responsibility for their lives. So-called leaders - like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton - profit by keeping their people in the victim mindset. They live off of fostering racism.

  • I'm intrigued by this "white male discrimination" theory of yours. Please explain.

  • Not a theory! I have personally experienced it a multitude of times. Where I work and live, white males are in the minority (racially and gender).

  • So move. Changing color or sex/sexuality isn't quite so easy. You chose your adress.

  • Moving is always an option, but I have the philosophy that such experiences are ok, just part of life. They are no big deal as compared to the persecution of others down through history. Sort of "deal with it and move on." Everyone is discriminated against in one way or another.

  • Of all the problems in our world, and of all the things we need to put right, the Homosexuals feel it's better to fix marriage laws. Don't worry about anybody else as long as Bobby can marry Billy, your happy.

    Well, i think your deranged.

I think there is many more important things.

The over all health of the nation and the safety of our Children and our access to good health is far more important than if Bob can marry John or not. Sorry, deal with it.

  • Everyone has an issue. Everyone has something that they feel need to eb rbought to the attention of Washington. More or Less important doesn't really factor when its close to peoples hearts. We deserve equal marriage just as much as America deserves free health care.

  • @grandcancelor

So......just because your not able to multi-task, does that mean nobody else can? Child safety, health reform, gay rights.......seems doable to me.........Sorry, deal with it.

  • Yeah, but your not the Fruit in office are you. Obama hasn't gotten around to your crap, thats what you are whining about. I'm sure he will deal with your GAY stuff before the next election so you will shut up and give him your vote. There are SOOOO many more important things than you and your "life partner". So, deal with it.

  • Its heart warming to know that you have so much faith in the current administration. Thanks for the vote of confidence!

  • C u all there! Woo Hooo

  • in idaho? cost is indeed an issue. airfare is equal to a house payment for me - so raise your voices higher in my absence, and THANK YOU!!!

    Sincerely,

    Larry Craig (j/k)

  • Hello, although this is not a speech, Hate crimes are still on the rise, and law enforcement are neither will to enforce nor learn about how to deal with these crimes. I shot this video exactly 26 hours after my beating. although not a speech, i just wanted to show Americans what hatred truly looks like and hope i can change a few minds. sincerely, michael

  • I am proud to say I will be there!!

  • i live in Jackson Tn.....and me and my Boyfriend are going

  • Im going too! =)

  • I'm going from California. It's time to take a stand ... bad economy or not. I'm tired of being thrown under the bus by politicians who make promises to get my vote. No more waiting.

What do we want? EQUAL RIGHTS! When do we want it? NOW!

  • I won't be there.

  • How many people have signed up to come? I would love to but i'm on the west coast. I guess i've got a summer to figure that one out.

  • we are in CA we are going

  • I'm in Oregon, have others that want to come but the plane to get there and back would be more than 300 bucks..not including hotels....so i'm not sure if i'll be able to afford to go

  • I'm coming from Canada - just feel a REAL need to be a part of this. No, it's not cheap and the economy is not great, but I think it's important and I'm saving.

Oh, and SpiritLedOne - There's a phrase I detest more than most in this world; it's "you people". Let me tell you, "this person" going to the march and standing up for rights is a 45 year old straight mother of three. I'm glad that you lump me in under your "you people" BS - makes me proud to be counted

  • Oh. And since you're screening this. Trust in Jesus before the wrath of God is poured out on you.

Read Matthew 24 if you dare.

  • It's amazing to me that you "people" are pushing for a law that says it's illegal for me to quote the most famous book in history and call it a "hate crime" but you get to curse and yell at me without so much as a scowl from the government. If live and let live is your motto, then follow your own creed. Telling other people to "live and let live" is hypocritical because it's telling people how to live.

  • SpiritLedOne, you're not stereotyping LGBT people, are you? I'd like to know...

  • no one is pushing for laws that keep people from freely practicing their religion or reading their bible...where exactly do you see that? We are asking to be treated as equal citizens under the law. What you are saying makes absolutely no sense. When you take your belief and try to make it everyone else's...then YOU my friend are breaking the law and instilling a sense of theocracy in this country that doesn't belong.

  • make sure that homophobe perez isn't there!

  • lol perez hilton had the nerve to post this video on his site
