Too much miming ruins TD's live shows now. Most of the tracks are the original cd's with overlaid tracks in the studio. No danger or risk...Edgar takes the easy option too often for my liking.
I've been following TD since the early 70's and I must say that Edgar has evolved very gracefully. Hearing the late concerts has really opened my ears to just how well the pioneer of this genre has blended electronic, digital and acoustic together. I saw them at Irvine Meadows in '86 and at The Wiltern in '88, both shows were stunning and audio massive, but the recent live shows are hot! I know that TD purists still prefer that pre-Melrose sound, but you gotta give EF creds for the rev too...
what software did you use to pull this off of their website and then post it on youtube? Nice job. It loads so much faster from youtube than from their site.
I love this song, but unfortunately everything you hear is pure studio recording except for the live drums-even the guitar and saxophone are the studio recordings-too perfect...
I saw TD at the Albert hall in 1975 in the days of the Modular Moog, its got to be one of the best concerts I have ever attended....and in those days it was improvised.
Edgar Froese doesn't look that much different now to then!
schöjne solo auf saxofon.
