THis is a song which we all know was not written by Sissel but she sings it with such grace and honor. Without question this is a song for the aged. It says to me that when we are old we can leave this place ask for Gods forgiveness and be now ready to go home. This beautiful Lady looks more lovely with every year that passes. Her voice is fabulous in any language on any song. I just can't seem to get enough of watching these videos. When you watch her sing it just magnifies the beauty of her voice as she flashes those gorgeous eyes and changes expressions with the words of the song. She sings as easy as the rest of us breath. Sissel is truly a very talented women with a voice that I'm sure is normally reserved for angels.

Incredibly powerful song which I first heard performed by one of it's co-writers (Graham Gouldman of 10cc) in July 2009 just before my father passed away. the other writer was Andrew Gold of "Lonely Boy" fame. Asia just covered it. They didn't write it. Sorry.

Just FYI, this is a cover version of "Ready To Go Home" which was the single from the 2001 Asia album "Aura." It was written by Geoff Downes and John Payne of Asia. If you enjoy this version, you might enjoy the original, which is more rock band-ish, of course. :)

Quite a compliment to Asia that someone with such a huge following worldwide chose this song to cover.

FYI this info is incorrect. The song was originally written by Andrew Gold and Graham Gouldman, and was realeased on the "Mirror Mirror" album by 10cc. The song is most known sung by Morten Harket as a cover on the album Wild Seed, both wich was given out in 1995.
