I'm afraid you're ininformed. The colors available in the dye menu aren't the only ones you can have. There ARE more than 100 and can be obtained by crafting. Get your facts straight and come back.

You're right, there are more dyes available, but they're few to find, and expensive.

you only need a maximum of 10 dyes for a full set of armor and thats if ya have some pretty out there armor.

also gold in this game hold little value on a single character basis

I found some black dye and some blood red dye at the auctions. Look there for dyes, but some of the rare ones are a bit expensive tho.

The auctions are in the main cities. I know that the Destruction's main city is The Inevitable City. Just look for an auctioneer. Black is really hard to find. I came a crossed one when i was a level 35. There are many different colors you can buy at the auctions that are not on the main dye system chart thing.

you can unlock more colors of dyes as well as the ones that you can see here. and hopefully they'll add more as time goes one

In the end, if you look at the system overall, most dyes don't give a "silly" look. They're implemented well enough that even a bright purple chosen still look pretty ferocious.

i have seen in an official video from mythic that their are 114 different dye colours available throughout the whole game. Whether these are individually purchaseable or through quest reward the options are pretty sweet.

There is those 20 that you can get from any merchant in game. Then there are other colors you get from Quests, Drops and unlocking them. Only way i know of unlocking certain colors is through PVP. Get a certain RR and unlock new colors. The rarest i heard are Black and Crimson Red, because they are the most popular :P

It ranges from really cheap to fairly expensive. 50ish gold is kinda expensive. I had about 27 gold by level 20 but I bought everything I could get my hands on from gear to dyes to siege weapons.

there is a primary and secondary dye spot on most items. and you can dye each item separate. this video was using the "apply to all" option. You could be a mess of color if thats what you wanted.

I had a little trouble seeing the interface. Looks like you choose a single color and it automatically applies it to the whole character.

Do you get to choose a secondary color or maybe color pieces individually, or is it pretty much the what I described in my first paragraph? Looks cool, however it works.

They look bright when there is the "selection" spotlight on a character (something I'm not sure i personally like), because that brightens the whole character removing natural lighting.

they look much more natural when a character isn't selected and ambient lighting is applied.

I doubt it, my warhammer armies(and those of my friends and fellow players) are much more grim and dark instead of these colours.

Also this colour palette isn't even half of what the tabletop uses.

Even in the painter starter set it describes Chaos Black is mostly used as an undercoat instead of a white undercoat because the black undercoat will give a more grim and dark final paint. And that's good because the same piece of paper describes warhammer as a semi-gothic universe.

They have said they're using Capital Paint set. Remeber that they have diffrent colours for diffrent classes/races, high elves aren't grim...and opinions can be wrong based on perspective.

these are stright from the TT game names are the same too. the just dont have all the colors. dont know if they will be adding more. But I know I got some dye drops that the vendor did not have, so there could be a ton more

You can check a box "Apply color scheme to all items".

each piece of armor can be dyed 2 different colors. You can apply 2 different colors to each piece and play harlequin :P

I'm afraid squig herder footage will be hard, tomorrow is the last day of the closed beta, and i doubt i'll have much time to shoot new footage (I still got 600 megs to cut after all)
