G'day Matthew. My son is 8 and he has CP. He can speak and uses a motorised chair. Its a bummer when you can't speak cos a lot of ppl think you are retarded. Yes i agree with you there, a lot of australians cant quiet understand my american voice at times, expecially when there is noise around. One program does have an australian voice havent tried it yet

Wow this brought tears to my eyes. You look so HAPPY! My nephew has Schizencephaly,which is kind of like cerebral palsy. He has a machine that talks for him too. He is very smart as well. Dear Matt, I have a question. Is it hard to live life with a voice machine and making those funny grunts. Why cant you speak? Why cant you walk? Do people make fun of you? How do you type? What is your email address

Yes it is difficult to use the voice machine, but it certainly beats not having a voice at all, it can be a real pain when it is not working. And some people just cant be bothered to have it on for me, or if i have a lot to say they might turn it off and that really sucks big time.
