  • Look hip hop started in the 70's, who started it ? Kool Herc with the hole rapping thing and another guy name Africa B. who are from the Bronx., where they black?yes. Now as time move on hip hop became universal, which in my eyes, is no problem at all what I don't like is when people don't recognize them and start saying they created hip hop.

  • WOW...im speechless

  • Hip Hop is Black Music/Culture

  • @breezwonder no hip hop is universal....rock and roll is black music too u know...

  • @Ezema25 No Hip Hop is Black Music thats been "Universally" embraced by others. And yes I know that Rock and Roll is Black music just like Reggae, Jazz and R&B

  • The dubbing sucks

  • KOREA AKA BBOY CITY!!!!!!!

thank you for keeping the culture alive and holding it down

    LONG LIVE KOREA!!!!!

  • I am think of a movie base in

  • Can anyone let me know where is the best Hip-Hop scence in Korea

  • This is so cool

  • @mandyx2000 that's where you're wrong. Many American bboys respect the Korean bboys. Rivers and Gamblerz are looked up to by many new American bboys and vice versa. You just don't know what's goin down in the underground.

  • Lol. Really? Hella cats on here got guts to say hip hop phased out in the USA. It's, what we like to call underground ppl. And it's not "breakdance" yo, the term is bboyin. "breakdance" is mainstream term. So if you wanna keep it real, it's bboyin, not "breakdance". I'm a bboy. Not a breakdancer. Knoweledge, wisdom, and understanding.

  • why are koreans doing black ppl stuff and all they ever throw themselve to is white ppl that do not even like them sorry to sound so racist but it is true

  • @mandyX2000 "black people stuff"?! geez, how old are you anyway... ten? twelve maybe?

  • @avastacia or should i even be more racist and saay american stuff then............................ happy

  • @mandyX2000 lol, don't hurt yourself!

  • Check 4 , Beats by Wallace Green

  • I digg how they respect the origins.

  • fuck you kimchi!! bad smell!!

  • Hiphop is all over the globe. If you wanna find good music and hot moves you'll find em... not on tv though

  • ALL doooo someee Plastic sergury. If u(Korean) want to on the TV.

  • n.1 breakdancers are from.......

  • "african american dance" lool what africa had to do with it?? better say a black americans dance...what would sound stupid but thats what u mean.

  • the quiett = one of the best hip hop producers of our time. He, along with japanese producers like nujabes, nomak, shin-ski, dj honda and other producers responsible for the japanese anime soundtrack "samurai champloo" are keeping the art and culture of hip hop alive. I was very proud to be an asian when chinese rapper "jin tha mc" won numerous freestyle battles on mtv. hip hop is huge in the philippines. especially manila. kutmasta kurt of san francisco and the beat junkies are asians.

  • this is funny

  • I wanna go to that class! Where is it in korea? hehe

  • yeah most of the things we enjoy did come form african people . Break dancing , tagging , rapping , coppery , and dj ing . Its good to see Korea represent hip hop in their country . I didn't even know Korea was into hip hop . The media makes you guys look bad .

  • Korea has taken hip-hop to a complete new level; underground hip-hop music is insanely good, at BOTY Korea has proven to have some of the best breaking crews in the world; Poppin Hyun Joon also gave Korea some international popping recognition. It's alive and well in Korea!

  • u need better recording.

  • Ok. I don't know if this is a highschool project or what, but you're sick as hell for doing the same project that I've done back when I was in highschool!

  • nice, props to the Koreans for representin hip hop

  • do you know any korean hiphop page or artist contacts ? cuz im beatmaker and that would be damn intresting to collab with koreans, something really fresh :D

  • hmmm r u sure Korea is evolve around hip hop?? cuz when i got there, there was mainly ballad songs playing rather than hip hop.

  • mainly cuz hiphop is played underground. hiphop listners usually hang around different areas within the cities of korea. which areas did you go?

  • yea the hiphop that is still alive is in underground. the underground shows in korea represent what hiphop was born to be. all that mainstream "hiphop" shit is bullshit.

  • i had no idea, thanks for the info.....great production values by the way.....

  • good journal entry. hip hop in general is a positive influence globally.

nice way to connect people imho.

  • korea got the best dancer

  • it's proven that korea and france has the best break dancers and poppers, but that doesnt mean they're the best. It's true. However, the best dancer is definately not in America. Americans are on the downfall of hiphop. Even Chris Brown, or whatever his name is, is sort of average in the hip hop world. Americans have low standards, and they don't see anything out of their 50 states, so that's why they overestimate their stars and have low expectations.Too bad I can't help them.

  • America had to be the best at hip-hop (break dancing) at one point since it is from black culture in america. hip-hop will die out if all the old artist and dancers have been "exterminated" and replaced by new comers who could be any ordinary person who knows nothing and the person who hired them know nothing about hip-hop. so know our culture has spread to other countries and their just, in a way, keeping it a live and putting their own culture into it. It's universal.

  • The only reason Korea catapulted itself at the forefront of Hip Hop culture is because Koreans have a very stubborn and tenacious nature. If they don't succeed they make it succeed. The breakers, rappers, and such are so good in korea because they spend nearly every waking moment practicing. Take it from me I'm a korean hip hop head too ^_^

  • @yokid5674 woot*woot* you go friend!!

  • @yokid5674 stubborn and tenacious nature? explain?

  • @yokid5674 keep hip hop alive man I love hip hop/rap

  • i agree with you, hip hop has definately been going down nowadays, the hop hop singer suck. we need kpop artists to come to america, they have better songs and are hotter

  • America's Hip Hop is going down the toilet due to the popularity, but so is Korea's nowadays due to the same reason. The more popular Hip Hop comes, it gets destroyed.

  • You have to understand that American culture is always changing. It changes quickly--I guess because of American's attention span. Break dancing, graffiti art, etc pretty much went out of style in the 80's/early 90's. So you don't have that many American youths doing it much anymore except a few dedicated dance fanatics.

  • they still break dance in Cali...

    O.o
