i know this ponies half brother, i don't know what parent of Teddy's it was but it was one, his name is Quite Bird Man a.k.a. Gabe he was sold and i don't know where he is know but he was very sweet
ummm i know im the most stupid person on the planet and im not trying to be rude or insulting to him, but what was so great bout him? (not in the insulting way)
@TheBlueandCash he's the first pony ever to compete at that high level. all the rest are horses. there's a certain height at which an equine is a horse or a pony, and teddy was technically a pony, which is around 14 hands, while a lot of the others he was competing against were 17 hands or taller. this made it harder for teddy and he broke records :)

A lot of people don't shoe their horses, most of the time. I don't know if he was shoed when he fell, but if he was---it may be good to keep shoes off a horse as much as possible, the shoes are very slippery, smooth. Many farriers, etc., are going the barefoot route...this may prevent some accidents, once the sole gets tough enough from not being shoed.
R.I.P teddy i will never forget u!!!! when i first found out about u i thought "there's no way a 14.1hh can go to the Rolex" but then i saw u jump!! U were amazing!! I cant believe ur gone :( REST IN PEACE TEDDYY U WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY HEART!!!! hope ur jumping the clouds with the other Rolex horses!!!!!!!
he spooked and bolted for the barn. than he tripped and severed his tendons and ligaments in his hind leg. he also destroyed a main artery in that leg. the vet said there was no hope for him to recover and it would be best of he was put out of his pain quickly. the O' Connors agreed because they didn't want Teddy to suffer any olnger than he had too.
I was honored and got to see Teddy at his lat competition (Rolex 2008) He was such an amazing pony, no one could ever believe that he could show up the big guys the way he did! We all love you Teddy and continue 2 show up the big-guy's in horsey heaven! R I P
I saw Teddy at Rolex this year and last year, and he was inspiring. All I can say is, Teddy, you may be gone, but you will NEVER be forgotten! We love you Teddy!
I was there at his final event (2008 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event) and I honestly believe that he gave his greatest effort. He didn't do as well as the previous year, but he was within an inch of having the first clean show-jumping course there. No one can deny his amazing personality. The is no doubt in my mind he will be greatly missed.
he was a true gem. i feel completely honored to have seen him at rolex doing what he does best. my blessing goes out to the o connors and all his syndicated owners....THE BEST DIE YOUNG.
he's probably challenging big ben to a jump off up there....ROCK ON, LITTLE DUDE.
Wonderful video...Rest in peace Teddy. Gone, but forever and ever missed <3 Gallop in green pastures around heaven. I love you boy - you had everything besides size it took to be a champion.
what an amazing creature.
