yeah i found this out when i played the demo its a great movie and had alot of potential for a game but... sadly not even the multi-player is fun i got board after 5min. of gameplay and the truth is that its not even fair when the whole other team is aliens and one person is a human the aliens got the powers in the movie but their a little over powered...
there are alot of good points to the game, and I like it!!! However, and this is a BIG however, the game had alot of little flaws that can add up to keep the game from becoming what it could be.

Giant bomb can suck my balls. I've played the multiplayer A LOT, almost ot the point I'm not proud of saying it, and while there are some flaws it's isn't "riddled" with them.
Everyone that I've talked to that's played this game enjoyed it so that just shows that reviews don't mean anything; it all comes down to personal preference
This review is way off i think that the two genres go great together and that the game isn't careless at all, I think that this is one of the funnest games ever to play (Also extreamly scary!).
Yes this game looks very good. Killing almost instintanious makes the game more realistic. cause really. In real life the predator could kill an alien or marine in one hit. If he were real that is. I dont believe these reviews.
The species in the game should've had subspecies like in AVP2. Not just skins like in the current game. The skins should be changed into subclasses and be different balanced too make a more interresting gameplay. Not that i think the game isn't fine , it's great ! They just should've added more stuff .... damn deadlines and limited cash ! :p
I notice they used the 360 version of the game. Fair enough, but this type of game is faaar superior on PC.. Infact, alot of FPS's are. A keyboard and mouse for this particular type of gameplay is just much easier to play with than a controller. Even IGN think so... and I dont even listen to those reviews anymore.
I particularly find that a controller is an easier way of using 17 different buttons within 2cm of a movement rather than spread over 20cm keyboard. and a mouse. even thougth this only took me 10s to type and with one hand still prefer to use a controler for games. i mean its specifically desinged for gaming.
AVP is fun..but i got to agree with IGN they had a chance to make something great, but just didn't make it all the way. the more i play it the more i miss AVP2 on PC because that game has everything this one doesn't
I've had a lot of fun with this game. Great graphics, visceral kills, and it's fun seeing the three parallel campaigns interact. Honestly the only bug I run into is the occasional hangup when loading new areas. It may have a few annoyances but all these reviews rating it 5 or 6 are just trying to go against the hype if you ask me.
I play this mroe than i play mw2 now, and if it had more players, and if they quickly patch up the bugs it would be a good 9/10. Right now, i give it a 8/10
Campaigns are short, and the Aliens/Predators are underpowered with melee in the CAMPAIGN. I think that the Aliens control scheme coulda been a wee bit better.

funny to see the game get such bad reviews. it gets the its fun and good looking but overall Meh!. it deserves better in my opinion. however they did fuckup the dedicated servers on PC with launch and the pred needs 10% more HP and be able to stay in cloak with certain weapons like in the single player.
The multiplayer on this can be pretty fun once you get into the swing of things however the single player was just too short the only half decent species to play as during single player was the marine. 6.5/10

I didnt much like this game, played a few matches online and found it to be quite buggy. The controls were something of a what the fuck is going on nature and although aiming was a bitch on any sensitivity level, I did find it to be fairly good, probably the fact it didnt take too many hits compensated for the aiming.
i feel sorry for this game, its good but little mistakes make it bad, like no iron sites and 0thers but i bet you that rebellion got given a small budget and didnt have the money to add more stuff to this game
i have this game for ps3 and i enjoy it. not the best at all but it is entertaining. its a fresh compared to a cod type shooter. u have 3 dif gameplay options. yes the matchmaking does take forever but the matches are worth the wait. side by side tho ps3 graphics are a joke compared to pc

So far I'd rate AVP a 7.5/10. The multiplayer isn't actually amazing in grpahics or anything new, but it's really fun. The campaign is the only thing that really let me down. It's just constant running and shooting.

I traded 18 games to gamestation to buy this bloody game, and it's amazing. It's fun to play, it's intense, the graphics are good which doesn't matter to much because the gameplays great, and the campaigns are surprisingly good, which I must admit I thought they wouldn't be. The multiplayer is amazing and unique, it's just incredible and anyone who's really tried it would agree. Especially if you play with friends you know for real, but thats pretty true for any game I suppose.
I did not like the online play that much (Mostly because I like Predators, and EVERYONE is an Alien, so I die by ambush), but this game is pretty good. This game deserves an 8 or 8.5
well mw2 mp is WAY better then avp. for avp u sit and wait for a game for about 5 mins. then if the host leaves the game is over. AND on top of that u cant play with the same people again. like after the game is over it kicks u back the the main menu and u have to look for a new party to play with.
ive never waited over 40 seconds. if you want to play with people you can just party up. and as for the menu thing well if youre in a party it doesnt do that

AvP is very fun for a while but as soon as you finish all 3 of the extremely short campaings
(trust me they are short, my friend and myself took turns me playing as the alien him as the predator finished both in 2 hours)
you already start to grow tired of it, it's the same with online.
Nothing ground breaking here fun for a while, worth a rent but I would not pay £40 for it.

This is a good game I just find sometimes its a bit buggy and after all its keeping me off MW2.

I personaly haven`t seen that much flaws in the multyplayer the game is difrent because it is verry close quarters and melle oriented that is something kinda new in the FPS janre and people need to get used to it I have a feeling that the critics give the bad scores because they cant play it OR havent played it I personaly like it I think it is great and the multyplayer is one of best I have seen this game is the realy makes the difirence in the good or bad players

Compaired to what? Call of duty? Where camping and noobtoobing are previlant, along with lag, mods, unbalanced weapons and glitches?
I havent played a single match of AVP that pissed me off, but you cant go 5 minutes in COD without getting scrubbed like a dirty plate.
AVP has a great story ((maybe a bit short, but still great), good graphics, tight controls, and a great instakill system.

I traded 18 games to gamestation to buy this bloody game, and it's amazing. It's fun to play, it's intense, the graphics are good which doesn't matter to much because the gameplays great, and the campaigns are surprisingly good, which I must admit I thought they wouldn't be. The multiplayer is amazing and unique, it's just incredible and anyone who's really tried it would agree. Especially if you play with friends you know for real, but thats pretty true for any game I suppose.

I did not like the online play that much (Mostly because I like Predators, and EVERYONE is an Alien, so I die by ambush), but this game is pretty good. This game deserves an 8 or 8.5

well mw2 mp is WAY better then avp. for avp u sit and wait for a game for about 5 mins. then if the host leaves the game is over. AND on top of that u cant play with the same people again. like after the game is over it kicks u back the the main menu and u have to look for a new party to play with.

Sometimes I would agree with the reviewers, but for this game I think they're putting it down too far.
Its a great game, though not as great as the hype made it out to be (Which is the same for every game.)

every single one of those so called "reviewers" are not very clear to the franchise, nor are they considering that the campaign, not the multiplayer means so much to the game. there is a high possibility that they all rated it more or less becouse their old experiences on the demo, not the full game itself. Almost EVERY single one of the trustable sources I have tell me that its an epic game that you should byu. The main reason you would not like it is becouse you got used to mw2-like gameplay

a few things i dont like are not enough co-op missions... hip fire for marines...but other than that a great game loving the campaigns but havnt really given multiplayer a go yet...but i think there was more to be done and ive never really liked the whole aliens and predator thing my rating would be proberly bout 7.0.. just

Extremely disappointed... I thought this game would be great, but it really isn't. It doesn't even deserve 6/10, in my opinion. I'm not biased, I don't even like the CoD series much. This really... just isn't a good game.

i strongly disagree with these reviews, i feel ever since mw2 came out they have been comparing all other games to it...and persinally i think mw2 was ahead of its time in gameplay,voice acting,graphics , and multiplayer comparing a game to it is just unfair this game is great and doesnt desearve such bad ratings
