  • awesome clip, will be finaly getting a doby pup in november. Can't wait :D

  • Doberman...the smartes Dog ever

  • @pikemike77 The border collie is actually rated the smartest dog. But dobermans are still great dogs. I don't have one, but I love them.

  • This had me in tears at the thought that our--OUR--loving pets could be banned because criminals have made them seem dangerous. Why are they punishing us and our pets because of something some criminal has done? Can someone please explain what good--WHAT LEGITIMATELY GOOD--reason the BSL wants to punish innocent creatures AND their owners for something we haven't done?

  • And I LOVE them

  • Iowa....nothing else left to say.

  • ear cropping helps in the prevention of cronic ear infections....which by the way I see on a daily basis and are common in Dobies....stop with the anti cropping baloney....cronic ear infections are so PAINFUL....

  • WTF is that????

  • cool video

  • THANK YOU for posting this!!

  • This is great. I am tired of people taking one look at my dobie and being terrifed of him. He wouldn't hurt anyone.

  • good video....but technically, some dobermans are attack dogs......but their still sweet & know friend from foe

  • My aunt has a Doberman with natural tail and ears, and everyone thinks he's a hound when they first see him. It's sad and funny, because they come up and pet him. Say how adorable he is, how sweet he is. Then they ask his breed, and as soon as whoever is walking him says "Doberman" It's like they said child raper and murderer. He's the sweetest little devil though. The only think he'd ever hurt is stuff bears and house flies.

  • theyll not take my doberman without taking bullets

  • I will die protecting my Dobie because she would die protecting me and my family. She is the best dog with kids that I have ever had, and I have had 15 dogs in my life. Don't hate a whole breed because they're smart and proud. Boycott movies that make them out to be the bad guy. That was my nine years old's idea.

  • sign one more iowan up ill die for my dobie

  • People Please know the BSL,MSN are just more tricks that HSUS and their counter part SPCA is using to abolish our Pets. The are attacking animal ownership and livestock across the Nation. They are not about helping animals they are about ending any relation ship with them, STOP giving them money, they do not support shelters. They use the money the get from scamming people to pass bad laws to kill more animals.

  • theyll take my pits after a few of them take bullets

what the fuck kind of country r we living in when they can tell us what kind of dog we can own?

fuck bsl and those peta douche bags that support it

  • i agree with you dobermanrock, they'll kill me before they take my doberman. i have a red.there is no greater breed.

  • NUuuuuuuuu!!!!!not this breed....im sooo obliviouse...i never new that it was this breed too...HOW MANNY DANG BREEDs ARE WE GUNNA BAND....ill go up to da people who are sayin band the breed, Ill slap them for every one

  • youtube(dot)com/watch?v=i2mMVe -Y_Os

    youtube(dot)com/watch?v=sYXrk6 -jEao

  • Ok, If they want to do this to pit bulls they might as well do the whole K-9 breed. Including Chihuahuas, Dalmations, Weener Dogs, ALL terriers, Labs as well as Golden Retrievers are a part of the terrier family and bred for hunting and retrieving. You may not think so but they're just as ferocious as any pit bull if not properly socialized, trained, loved, exercised daily.

    youtube(dot)com/watch?v=TGZoSv bejqM

  • As a long time Dobie owner and lover, (we currently have 14 month and 2 month old females, after losing our 12 and 14 year old Dobies) I am appalled at this pending legislation. It's another example of Congress making uneducated decisions that affect people's lives. Good example: OBAMA VOTED FOR THIS ONE! Dobermans and other breeds on the BSL list are some of the most loving and loyal dogs EVER!!! PLEASE EVERYONE - WRITE YOUR LEGISLATORS! TELL THEM BSL IS WRONG!

  • Notice how peole love creating and distroying, breeding in a way makes us feel god because we have the power to make that dog whatever we want even if it is destructive. I guess we just cant help but to play god with other living things, that is the image we where suposuply made in so I guess it is some we also have to live with. oh and BTW great video >;)

  • The Doberman Pinscher is a decorated veteran military dog. This breed is "bred" for its intelligence and ingenuity. The can be "trained" for anything and that included "attack". But the key word is "trained". You cannot "breed" for the purpose of "attack". A puppy does not come out of the womb with the mind set and if you had as much intelligence as a Doberman Pinscher you would know this. Do your home work before you start making and passing judegment.

  • I salute my veterans, as I am one myself. Like my guns. My Dobermans are a hands off event. They want my dogs. Then they best be prepared. They will have to take my leads out of my cold dead hands. Does anyone understand this?

Evil only comes in if we invite it through our front door....

  • Oorah!

  • Are you touched in the brain??? You seem to be.

The Dobermans were bred for protection. Not attack. And there is no sin involved with the breed. If that were so. Then god sinned when he created the black widow, rattle snake, gator, lion, tiger, wolf, python, boa, coral snake, gila monster, and HUMAN... Are you starting to get the picture?????? You are a liberal fool.

  • You obviously have no clue as to what your talking about. Sure, dogs can be bred to have certain characteristics like longer legs for faster running or for raised intelligence, but just because they are better suited than other dogs at doing somethings doesn't mean they're born with the mind set to do anything like what your saying. A dog with long legs doesn't automatically start racing everything it sees whether our intentions were for that or not just as a dog that would be suited for (cont.)

  • (cont.) attacking isn't born with the mind set to attack everything. That kind of thing requires training. Any dog can be dagerous if you make them. Dobermans are very friendly and intelligent--I know, I own one-- but they don't, just like many other stereotyped breeds, try to attack anyone out of a built in instinct to because it doesn't exist! That doesn't mean they wont protect themselves or their familly if they think there is danger. They protect because of their deep capacity for love!

  • Bullbaiting is when they use to tie a bull to a poll by a rope and give it just enough room to move around and the bulldogs would have to take the bull down but now the bulldog has been sooo inbred by man over the years that it can no longer do that any more.

  • The bulldog of yesteryear didn't look like the modern bulldog very much at all. They looked like an American Bulldog but shorter legs. They were a more agile dog by far.The modern bulldog would croak if in any kind of battle due to breathing problems. This change in the breed was all in the name of looks. You can thank show breeders for this.

  • The people who think that dogs or any other animals are not aggressive depending on there breed are wrong. People in the past use to bread and train certain dogs to do certain things by nature. Back around the 1600s, Bulldogs where breed and trained for something called Bullbaiting which was a popular gambling sport back in the 17th century.

  • <3.

  • You Americans are certainly doing your best to make them look dangerous with the ear cropping and docking.

Let's see some natural-looking dobermanns instead!

  • cropping & docking originated in Europe, it was the way L. Dobermann originated the breed. Also, the tail docking prevents tail breakage & amputations, which is a common occurance with an energetic dog breed which has a naturally skinny whip-like tail.

  • my dobe has a scar. we adopted him and his tail has a scar on the end cuz of his tail docking. his ears are natural thank god. sweet and floppy :)

  • cropping and docking are banned in many countries for good reason.

  • I know a lot people feel that it is a barbaric procedure and is purely cosmetic but the countries and people that agree with it do it for their dog's overall well being. It's kind of odd just how controversial this topic is in some countries.

  • That doesn't mean we still do it in Europe. It's illegal in most countries.

  • You really need to look up the history of the breeds before you comment.

  • @gschjetne i agree with you people keep trying to make them look intimidating because why do they think that will make the dog a better guard dog or better , i have a doberman with natural ears and everybody still think shes intimidating the way a dog look wont make it a better dog

  • @gschjetne The Dobermann was bred, conceived and "created" with Cropped ears and cut tail...by its breeder Luis Dobermann...He mixed together several breeds including Great Danes, Pinschers, Rottweilers, Weimaraners, etc....The first dobie ever was with creppoed ears and tail....Period....Dobermans which are registered in many Kennels since the end of the 18th century should respect that....A dobie with natural ears and tail is an overgrown Pinscher...Except personality traits of course...

  • It has been proven that being born a certain breed does not make the dog aggressive. They need to ban people that abuse and neglect animals, there are a ton of them. Who the hell came up with this ban anyway?

  • I totally agree, but I think sometimes that people refer to a certain percentage of dobermans coming out in the 70s, that really were bad tempered due to poor breeding by amateurs. Of course, there were problems with the cocker spaniel too, but THEY are not vilified to this day.

One friend said a vet Xrayed a dobe that was acting nasty and there was a bone spur hitting the brain. That surprised me. I've never heard of this being a dobe-specific issue though.

  • I know Dobes & Rotties got a bad image because of certain movies & tv programs. Rotts & Dobes are still somewhat bashed. Its a bad deal for the poor pitbulls nowadays. Anyone that remembers Petey from the Little Rascals knows that Pits are great dogs. Now ppl are turning some pit bull types into monsters.

  • I have a doberman pinscher and a pit bull/ presa canario mix, and both of my dogs are stable, non aggressive dogs. But it is not true that it has been "PROVEN" that certain breeds cannot be more aggressive than others. You write about how dobermans are more intelligent (true), and you credit genetics for that aspect, right? You can't credit genetics for only the good. My dogs were raised by the same owner (me), and they have very different personalities and tendencies. They are VERY different.

  • Don't get me wrong, wenrenae, I'm not saying dobies are bad, because they are wonderful, loving pets. But it's hypocritical to say dobermans are more intelligent due to breed, but not credit other attributes to breed. My dobie has bitten someone before, but she had damn good reason. My pit mix wouldn't bite someone under any circumstance. Same upbringing, different genes. My pit mix has some aggressive tendencies towards other dogs, but not my dobie. Again, same upbringing, different breed.

  • This is great. I always wanted a dobie, but my co op board has banned pit bulls, dobies and rottie "due to the noteriety of these breeds." Friends of mine who are generally animal lovers and intelligent people, have suprised me by saying that "dobies turn on their owners." Shocking and sad.

  • Dobermans don't turn on their owners i know as long as you treat them with respect and never hit it it will never turn on you.the people that get bitten by their dogs are the 1's that did some thing wrong.any dog can turn on their loved because they got abused earlier in their life i know dog owners that rescued theirs dogs from a bad owner he was white and the dogs turn violent when a white person is near thats just and example it all depends how u treat

  • Your animal lover friends are not intelligent at all. It's people like them that hear that then spread it to someone else and before you know it the breed has been labeled. NO dog is born aggressive or born a fighting dog....it's been scientifically proven.

  • I am all for you, but it would be easier to prove if I knew where this scientific proof was. Are there real hard science journal articles on it or something? I have my BS and MS in biology and followed animal behavior, so I know how to read these articles well enough.

  • Its not good to say any breed is dangerous. Dogs are not killers

  • wut's the song? great vid dobies are some of my favs.

  • Hans Zimmer-Taken

  • That is not the point. what you should be afraid of is if they start picking on the breed you own. Bsl is picking on more than you know. You would be surprised. They will not stop until there happy and then there will be no dogs left.

  • i believe that if the government gets away with this its gonna be unstoppable if they band the big dogs people that fights dogs will start to fight little dogs and then the gov. is going to get rid of the little dog and there will be no more left what the gov should band is the human that harms any animal or fights these animals

  • I would be more afraid of a pitt bull than i would a Doberman.

  • I have trained and worked with so many animals that i know for a fact that dogs are not born aggressive or evil as some people put it the fact that a dog is a aggressive is the owner itself not training it correctly or the lack of socialization, with the proper socialization and training a dog can be your best friend and a life companion. the thing is that a dog lives to pleas its master and will do any thing to get the love it deserves. this legislation is wrong and should be banded.

  • any dog can attck see that child had half her face ripped off by a CHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for crist sake its all pitties staffies and rotties that have a bad name

dobermans are harmless! ma mate had one called ellie shes adorable and wudnt hurt a fly

save these great dogs stop BSL!!!! know!!!!!!!!!!

  • holaa!! tengo un dobermna tiene ya cinco años y nunca, nunca me a atacado, ni a mi ni a mi familia, nunca...

  • S 1880 IS BSL AND OBAMA HAS SIGNED IT

  • your vidéo is so very nice !!!!!!! i have a doberman and he is a baby dob !!! he have a 2 years . its the best of the world !! (sorry i speak french ! :P)

  • i have own dobies all my life, dobies are the perfect family dogs. they are the perfect watch guard atack dog when in need but most of the time they are babies, clowns, airplanes and family companions. dobies are clever, obedient, loyal, playful and brilliant; they are the perfect friend of your children and yourself. they just need time and training.

  • Dobermans are the best! I lost my 16-year-old girl (yes 16 years!), Acey, in Dec., and it was really tough. She was the greatest dog, very loyal, extremely obedient. I couldn't not have a dog in the house, so a few months later, I got another Dobey puppy, Lotus. She's turning out to be a great dog, but she does have some huge shoes to fill! Banning dogs based on their breed is ridiculous. It's the same as racism. Owners should be responsible for their animals, any breed can be dangerous.

  • Dobies are AWSOME! They must have good training when they are young but your investment in setting the boundries will pay off HUGE! They are super smart! When mine passes, as they all do, I will be an absolute mess! I love this animal (My Dobie) so much! As do all of my neighbors and their kids who ring my doorbell to see if he can come out and play with them.

  • I've just goten my first dobie and i love her to death i wouldn't trade her for anything she is the best . She would never hurt anyone , unless you count licking .

  • I have several dobies and we love them like family. They are the most loyal dogs you will ever have. Really enjoyed the vid. Airplane was funny. If you have Yahoo Messenger you can see mine on camera(id feathercarbon)

  • Thanks- I guess each state is a little more extreme on BSL. We have a parade with our local Police Department each year and they own a few big Dobes for drug search and rescue.

  • My Nan has had two dobie's, Barron and Shiloh, I remember Shiloh the most, they become like family, he was playful and had a brilliant nature, but he dies a couple of weeks ago, Dobermans have never been a bad breed. They just need a chance and the right training.

  • UM? I didn't know Dobermans were in Danger.

I have heard a lot of BSL on Pit bulls but NO NEW laws on Doberman Pinschers. What is this video in reguards to?

  • As a state, Iowa has a LOT of dog control laws in effect and pending which include the Doberman as a "vicious" breed, and therefore are subject to harsher judgements if a case is ever brought to city level. Compare this to Dalmations, and Jack Russels - both of which have higher bite stats, and it's completely one-sided bias against Dobermans.

  • @Dawg4life1982 bsl affeects alot more breeds than just the pitbull

  • my dad had a doberman wen i was young maybe wen i was born to 4

i was terrified bcuz of its size and would crap my pants if he came towards me

i outgrew this around 3 but still felt uneasy

i never showed that dog enough love

it would have died for ne1 in our family in a heartbeat

    i feel terrible

i will defintly vote against this

    great video ill register

  • I've had Dobermans most of my life. A Doberman is the sincerest, sweetest friend you could possibly have.

  • There is no bad dog. Just bad owners.

  • My eyes water everytime i see this,..

there IS such things as Breed Rasicm!!

  • nice dogs

  • Haha My friend has one oh man he is the sweetest dog in the universe!! he probably the mot loyales dog i know =D it would be a discrase if this happen! u know what pissiz me off!! ppl put down dogs, and cat just becauese NO ONE WILL ADOPT ONE THE INESINT ANIMALS PPL ID RATHER THE B SET FREEEEEE!!!!!.

  • it would be an abomonation to bad thies very friendly and loyal breed ....any dog is evil if raised that way its not the breeds fault but the owners fault grow up tree hugers

  • Whoever said dobermans aren't easy to train needs to educate himself. They can sometimes be hard headed but it's because they are a very intelligent breed.

  • yes VERY smart! just give them direction! :)

my dobe is too smart lol :)

  • I love dobermanns, they are one of my favorite breeds. Trajan was one of the nicest dog that I ever knew, he thought he was a "lap dog". I don't have anything against dobies and I'm totally against BSL. I'm just saying that there are irresponsible owners out there who just don't know what they're getting into when getting a dog. Powerful breeds like the dobie need training and socialization. I miss Trajan and it was a shame what happened.

  • I have a doberman and he's one of the nicest dogs I have ever owned. He gets along with everyone, including my 6 week old chihuahua.

  • I live in Iowa and in a town where the Pit Bull was banned, despite many attempts and protests the ban was placed

I have a Doberman named Naomi, I fear they will ban her next

I just wish political figures weren't so damn ignorant

  • I look this video and this doberman, just look like mine. Good temper. funny, silly and realy playfull. My sister's kids just do whatever they wan with him, he never complain and always wan to protect them. never wan to go out without them and cry for several hours when they left. When i've bought him, i was thinking to buy an independant dog.... big mistake he's sleeping under the blanket. They realy are family dog... and I feel sorry for those who are affraid of them

  • yea sure is, pathetic child. you're one of those kids that get on here cause no one liked/likes you at school or anywhere else, or you were picked on a lot, so you try and make up for it online right? Or you could just be stupid and trying to have a laugh, either way, I don't care.

  • Yea I'm sure there would be a lot of pain if they were awake during it, or if the vet didn't prescribe pain medicine to come home with them. Fucking hillbilly? Where did that even come from, this isn't a name calling contest, it's an argument about a topic, obviously you're not mature enough to be involved in it.

  • There are no such thing as dangerous breeds, but there are dangerous owners.

  • I have a dobie male, I think what's given them the bad name more than anything is their use in wars, and what the movies have done for them. So this sets the plate, when a dog attack happens, any dogs marked as "dangerous" go to the top of the list in the story being told. Breeds really aren't that different in temperment. On another note, I've heard less of doberman attacks than any other dog the world considers scary.

  • My friend had a dobie. A girl got right in his face and was babying him and was making a lot of sudden movements. He was scared. What happened was totally unexpected. After he bit her she was taken to the hospital and the dog was taken to the vet by his owners for euthanization. He had thorough training, but it wasn't enough for this boy.

Poor Trajan didn't understand. These powerful dogs need experienced oweners, so things like what happened to Trajan and the girl don't happen ever again.

  • if he wasnt properly socialized with children he shouldve never been around them

you have to have training and socialization

    poor dog & poor kid

    another victim of ignorance

  • Yes, deadstarzx. I agree. Every dog needs to be socialized, no matter what breed.

  • Cropping the ears is not painful. It is only cartilage. A trained veterenarian performs the procedure, and the dogs are fine afterwards. Does the dog in the video look like it was traumatized by this procedure? The answer is undoubtedly no.

  • Hahahah! "I am an airplane"! Classic!

  • Your video was wonderful. My dobbi (Ralph) and I loved it to death. And by the way, You ass-holes that are afraid of the breed...don't be....be very afraid of the owners. Screw with my dobbi and see what happens!

  • Savvy, you are very oppinionated and you need to educate yourself

  • Le Dobermann est un chien splendide !!!!

  • This video says over and over that Dobermans are loved. Why, then, have almost all the dogs pictured in it had most of their ears and tails chopped off? "Breed Standard" my ass. Docking is illegal in some countries and should be everywhere. People who love dogs do not "dock" (a.k.a. mutilate) them.

  • To make a generalized statement such as "people who love dogs do not dock them" is entirely stupid.

Or, I could just point to some of those people who have uncropped dobermans... those people who starve them, beat them, leave them to the elements, allow them to get mange... and just say "Sure, an uncropped Doberman is a loved dog".

Your point doesn't make sense, despite your strong opinion on it.

  • Mutilating a dog in for the sake of the current fashion is utterly inconsistent with loving that dog. Try explaining it to the dog: "I love you dearly but I'm having your ears and tail chopped off so you'll be prettier". THAT's what doesn't make sense.

  • I just realized that I inadvertently corrected your usage. DOCKING is a procedure which shortens the tail. CROPPING refers to the ears.

"The current fashion" as you state, has been around since as long as the breed has. Louis Dobermann, the breeds creator, was the original cropper/docker in this breed.

I don't have time to further educate you. I can understand & respect your opinion, but your information is lacking - at best. And what's an opinion, without knowledge?

  • Oh and btw - when you said "why are almost all the dogs" in the original post - the reason is simple - "ALL" of these dogs are mine, my one, my only, my beloved puppy - photos throughout his life.

  • There is also medical reasons for cropping a dog. An uncropped Dobe can shake its head too hard, making its ears slap against its head. If the shake is too hard, the tips of the ears can bleed. With cropping or naturally erect-eared dogs this doesn't happen. Also, a dog with erect ears generally has cleaner ears. Dirty ears can result in a foul odor and infections which is not a fun thing for the dog.

  • If there REALLY were valid medical reasons for cropping dog's ears, then why do we not see cropped basset hounds? Beagles? Our own basset hound did get a tiny injury on her long ears from time to time, and we did not respond by slicing her ears off, we put antibiotic ointment and a band aid on it! And here's something that will absolutely astonish you: dirty ears on a dog (and the associated problems) can most often be remedied by...cleaning the ears. Wow!!

  • That's bullshit. That's what you assholes say to justify to yourselves that the cruel act is OK.

  • i had a pit bull, and i never cut the ears or the tail because i thought it would be cruel, of course, i'm talking about a different breed here, but i know that if you're using a doberman or pitbull as a guard dog, you should cut the ears off so they can hear better, if they had the normal ear, it would get in the way, and the tail so that it wouldn't be pulled or bitten in a fight. its not barbaric since anesthesia would be given, and pain medication i'm sure.

  • At 8 weeks i bring my dog to the vet to have his ears cut... i dind'nt have a choice he got a malformation an handicaps... but i can confirm you he wasn'y painful for him that's change my view on this operation. Before I had a bouvier des flandres and somehow i think that if I was more aware of how they do this befor judging, i will had his ears cut too.

  • Actually- just wanted to educate you a bit- Certian dogs were bred for different things and docking was originally for working breeds, dependong on what they were bred for they may have had thier tail docked or their ears cropped for a utilitarian reason, and in show competition many dogs are required to have docked tails or cropped ears. when was the last time you saw a rotti without a docked tail in a show ring, or a doberman without its ears cropped??

  • savvy your a fucking retard. Like many other breeds whose tails are docked, dobermans have very thin, brittle tails that are prone to breaking. Enthusiastic wagging can cause painful fractures if the tail hits a hard object. Although the breaks will heal, the tail may not be straight again. Older dobermans can have arthritic tails due to breakage. Docking is a humane alternative to a lifetime of a crooked, painful tail.

  • In countries where docking is illegal, then, surely there are epidemics of Dobe tail injuries? Legions of bloody-tailed Dobes crying in the steets? Oh...wait a minute...I just checked the facts and...actually there aren't. They seem to be doing just fine! Many breeds of dogs can get tail injuries or arthritis, which are humanely treated on a case-by-case basis, not by hacking all their tails off in puppyhood.

  • Bullshit. That is yet another excuse you cocksuckers use to justify what you are doing is OK. Just admit that you do it so the dog cosmetically LOOKS the way you want. It has nothing to do with their health or well being.

  • na in some cases the dog can get a haematoma in their ears, like a lump that they have to get drained or removed, but yer, other than that its just cruel.

  • had it done twice, no problems either time, learn what you're talking about. And about the dogs, they have no "natural" state, as they were a breed created by man, so you can't really fall on that.

  • I removed the comments from the user responding to this comment - due to the stupidity and profanity.

  • I don't see why you removed it. I was explaining how dobermans are powerful dogs and require consistent and firm training. They can't be trained as easily as a labrador or something. Not all dobies are good like you described in the video. But not all labradors are good either, any dog can be dangerous.

  • If you are putting thumbs downs for this comment, I feel like you are saying that dobies are not powerful dogs, they don't need training, training a lab is harder, and that you beleive that no doberman can be dangerous.

    You're wrong.

    Educate yourself before posting videos.

  • Dobermans are powerful dogs, though they are not vicious dogs. They are dogs, like all others, which are subject to idiot & neglectful/abusive owners. This video is not saying a Doberman isn't powerful, merely that they are not innately vicious nor mindless killing/mauling machines.

    Educate yourself.

  • Who said they were viscious or mindless killing/mauling machines?

  • thats not thier point tit ed

  • Cropping and docking is not painful for the dog at all as long as the procedure is correctly done. No one should crop their own dog's ears, only a vet should.

  • dobermans make the smartest and most loyal gentle giants. considering they are the only akc large breed dog that was breed specificly as a human companion dog it's amazing they discriminate against what is regarded as the most obidient breed of working dogs. people with dog phobia's should seek psychiatric help instead of trying to stop people from owning dogs they are scared of.

  • I have a dobe and they are the silliest sweetest dogs ever. It all depends on how they are raised. Oh and the ear crop is a breed standard. The tail being docked is also a standard and is very practical. Dobes as well as most dogs wag their tails so hard against walls, tables, etc. and can actually make them bleed.

  • nice vid!!! Nice dog!

    From Italian Dobermann

  • fcuk bsl a dog is not born agressive its created that way. i have my first dobe and shes a doll i love her and i couldnt imagnie life with out her...so if you wanna ban anyone for the dogs misbehavoir it should be the owners.fcuk whoever think dobermans are viscious. there stupid asses are just afraid of them ha haha they can go fcuk themselves:]

  • Banning Breeds is about the dumbest thing ive ever heard of. My Dobie is extremely loving and gentle. Dogs are only as mean as they are trained to be. And you cant hold an animal at fault for a crappy owner

  • So why did you crop the dog's ears when you actually are against making ppl think that they are dangerous?

By the way, I think no dog breed is dangerous by itself. The owner of the dog is responsible for it's behaviour.

  • I've had a few types of dog breeds in my time, the one that actually scared me into thinking I was going to get bitten... alot... was my sister's yorkshire terrier.

  • same here, i over heard a kid ask her mom if she could pet my doggy(dobe) she looked behind at me and said:nono,we dont pet dobermanns....

  • Well done you... i have 3 dobes and i come across loads of small snarling dogs, my dobes just walk past without a care in the world

  • If you ban a breed, its the criminals that will be the owners of the breed, and they are the very ones who will torture them to make them vicious.

Even with no training at all the Doberman is still the extreme opposite of vicious. They use Dobes in the police force - why? Because they are reliable, predictable, highly intelligent, very loyal and traibable. They don't use little yappy terriers for instance do they?

  • Its the very people that have never owned or even met the breed in question that try to ban them. You wouldn't let someone with no experience whatsoever in building build a house would you?

And you wouldn't accept it if a polititian said that all Asian people are extremly dangerous and will be banned from the State. Why? Because its completly absurd and has no truth or research behind it, exactly like breed bans.

  • Absolutly ridiculous. Maybe America should try not cropping ears for a while and see how many people fear dogs then. I have an uncropped Dobe and when I hold his ears up people say how vicious he looks (as if a dog can 'look' vicious!).

To ban Dobermans of all dogs!? I've been bitten/growled at more times by labradors and terriers no question than by Rotts, Dobes, pitbulls and GSD's combined!

  • The most "vicious" dog I've ever met was a daschund. Second was a jack russel.

And no, just holding their ears up doesn't make them look vicious. Thats just people trying to fulfill their petty stereotypes of the breed.

  • The only thing I think should be banned is ear mutilation in dogs.

I love the natural eared dobie.

  • Sure, lets NOT ban the thing you like, but lets go ahead and ban the thing you don't. Do you not see the absurdity in that?

Don't ban ANYTHING unless there is a damn good reason. Ear cropping is not mutilation, and is even a requirement for many breed standards.

  • banning something we created/bred sounds crazy. its the bad owners that make the dog unpredictable ,not the breed of dog.

  • get the word out my friend!!! dobes are the best!!!!

  • I totally agree with you. This video is brilliant, I had a doberman not long ago, possibly the only dog that could be told what to do by a 4yr old child! He was as soft as butter, there was nobody he didnt like! And as for a guard dog??? my baby could do a better job!

  • i have a doberman the most protective gental calm dog u could ask for and banning these sweet dogs fuck that the only dog that needs to banned for ever is the fuckers who want to ban some dogs

  • I LOVE DOBERMAN!

  • I just lost my 11 year old Dobergirl. Best dog I could have ever known. I am a Dobermom for life -- and a law student studying animal law -- and I think ALL forms of BSL are BULL!

  • hope you can turn this around for them all there is no such thing as a dangerous dog just dangerous owners and how they train the dog. all dogs have to potential to be dangerous does that mean they all get banned this needs to be turned around

  • Great video. My dobie died a year or two ago and it was the most loyal, gentle, smart and funny dog I've ever had. Maybe you government should look at banning bigoted stupid people instead.

  • a ban on doberman in Iowa. This coming from a state where you could shot a trespasser on your field. They cant use the same argument on all big dogs. (the brain pushing against the skull theory.) you are more likely to be a victim of a dog bite by a small dog like chihuahua. As my uncle from Iowa says WAKE UP AMERICA. The people banning dobbie's should have to live with a hose trained dobbie for a week. They would never let a law like that pass after that week ended.

  • AIRPLANE LOL

  • great vid. i have a dob and i love him so much.thre the best dogs ever
