As stated in the description there is absolutely nothing plugged into the input of the device. The device actually just pops and clicks with no sound plugged into it due to the gain structure on the unit and the actual bit reduction programs. So just to clarify there is no sound being fed to the device at all and this is what it sounds like! And yes that is true if you actually plug something in you'll get a whole other world of sounds...this was just an experiment with no input fed to it!
It can still pick up environmental disturbances. He could be tapping his finger on the audio input, since some electricity can be acquired from your body. Yeah, you're right. There is SOME audio input, but I think the author means no guitar, no keyboard, no bass guitar is inputed into the Gieger Counter.
the noises this thing makes are due to circuitry components used interfering with each other. If the machine is giving out two waves they can superposition or cancel each other out, it can oscillate itself in accordance with the wave giving a tweeting or arc-ing noise.
The fuzz factory does the same thing but with far fewer components and not quite as well.
@DemsFings it's the sound it makes to change the input sound you are making...so these are the noises that will change your input and blend it thru the output...this is just with the output so u can see what it does.
There plainly ALWAYS is an input signal. Every open high-impedance eletric input behaves to some extent like an aerial. This means it is sensitive to electric disturbances in the atmosphere which produce hiss and hum. As soon as the input is provided with a relatively low-impedance voltage source such as an electric guitar or an effects box output, the disturbance sensitivity vanishes. If you want to know why that is you need a deeper understanding of electronics ;)
Its nothing compared with what this thing is capable of! Brilliant little machine - like having an atom bomb in a metal box. Insane & dangerous - beware....
I AM TERRIFIED WAAAAAAAAAAAAH
