It looks like it was terribly made. The man who they got to play Charles looks and sounds NOTHING like him, and why was Sharon Tate tied to Abigail Folger calmly asking what was going to happen? That's INCREDIBLY far from what happened. And were the girls walking towards the house supposed to be the murderers? Why were the blonde? Is ANYTHING in this film factually accurate?

No, but I know how many silly kids need to identify with "outsiders" because they would at least belong somewhere. The murders were done at his order and he was the "mastermind" behind it. That's just as silly as saying Hitler didn't do anything, it is worse. Calling someone who did such an horrifying thing as awesome makes you just pathetic because he was just mentally challenged. I think fascinating might be the word you were looking for..

You are right dvs! These murders were commited to make Bobby B. look innocent! Charlie felt to blame because he cut Gary Hinman's face and then got scared that he would go to the police and Charlie would go back to jail so he convinced Bobby that killing him was the only way out! I do not condone Charlie either but the truth is the truth. This movie is full of lies. This only helps paint a false picture of why these murders took place. I'm not saying Manson is innocent of his crimes. I am saying that the story we all know is completely false. My opinion is that Manson was ordered to carry out these murders by the mob. My opinion of their motive could be wrong, but the official account is wrong and that is a fact.

The actual footage of Spahn Ranch as it was back in the day was what gave this movie some real credibility. There was no Church at Rocky Peak and the area was essentially the same.
