Just bought the HTC PT2 and the Samsung Epic to see which would be best to keep & after turning on the phones I realized why it was called EPIC Holly Shit (Yeah I sent the TP2 back).
I Now have a Samsung Epic on Boost & its Perfect Woot!
Anyone have the flash info to flash the evo 4G to boost? Crcikcte doesnt have the speed or coverage nationwide and charge roaming if you go off network so thier unlimited plan isnt really honest.I live outside Chicago but travel alot and I use Boost now with a blackberry but just got an evo 4G and know they can go to boost cdma 4G network just looking for some how to info I have it now unlocked and I rooted it and have a cdma boost plan open but no flash info for it.thanks
I already flashed the htc touch pro 2 and I have it working with boost mobile phone. Everything works except the internet. Is there anyway you can help me to get the internet running.
I am using the TP2 on boost cdma and I download torrents with my phone and play xbox live. I am in chicago so I have access to the 4g network. At times I download at over 2mbs a second. Cricket has very poor customer service and their data network is sooooo slow.
your kidding right? Boost is like in 1g network...lol? tell me your text messages haven't taken sometimes like up to 30 min to receive and then you still have to download them! Not to mention the poor reception and the web....
Yes I am, cricket is 3g speeds. We have tested Verizon and sprint phones and verizon and sprint phones that have been flashed to cricket and the Data speeds are up there at par with both companies. Boost has poor reception in Daygo so hows that Reliable? We're also much cheaper than boost.
@LearnToFlash what you're not acknowledging is the fact that when you bring a sprint phone into the equation, you're no longer working with the boost iden/cdma sector, but sprint and their frequency. my point: sprint > cricket. also when you consider the coverage and features you get right out of the box w/ the phone and not having to "flash" it, $10 give or take is justifiable.
I Never said I didn't knowledge, You keep bringing up other points, I know that Sprint>cricketand Cricket>boost ...lol sorry thats the way it is in Daygo maybe you have other experience. But why pay More when you can get better coverage for Less? Plus this Sprint Htc Touch Pro has a Bad ESN, so We Flash it for CricKet Customer's that don't Want Cricket phones but Phones that they like form other companies. I personally have T-mobile and My experience with T-mobile has been Superb.
You are actually wrong. On boost's iden network, yes it is slower. However, Boost is a byproduct of Sprint, and it runs off of sprint towers. So if you flash a phone (such as the TP2) to boost cdma, you will access to sprint's 3g and 4g network.
Cricket is simple not the way to go in terms of prepaid cdma. Boost has a far superior network that is nationwide, additionally you can teether nearly any phone that you flash.
yeah in chicago, maybe you have a different experience since flashed phones on cricket dont really work good in chicago cause of the tri band issue. however thats not the case here in san diego, I would know i work at a cricket store and every month we get more and more boost customers switching to cricket. what works for some don't work for all bout thats cool you can play xbox live dude..
@williamjackelsonmcji I just wanted to chime in to correct a very common misconception which is that you "flash" a phone to boost cdma which isn't true.
all that necessary is to call them and ask them to activated just as if it was one of their branded phones.

why would i have to kid?
and is what you're trying to imply is that cricket is getting NEAR 3g speed?
and i KNOW you're certainly not implying that cricket has a better and more reliable coverage...
you have much to learn young padawan...
hint: Boost is a Branch of Sprint; Touch Pro 2 = Sprint Phone.
that is all for now.
