You must realize that the creators of this show view christianity much the way you view greek mythology. To them demons and the like are just interesting fictional villains, no different than medusa or circe.
If this offends you, or you think it may corrupt your faith, then don't watch it. However it has no supernatural power. It isn't going to convert anyone to a satanic cult.

I like this portrayal of Lucifer and M. Pellegrino does a fantastic job at it. You can see tears in his eyes when he knows what he has to do to Gabriel and after he killed him he is emotionally distraught. I believe that makes his character more believable and interesting to the audience.
