to manual longer you need to achieve your own power.... he it right explaining how to balance on the board but to maintain a long manual you need to control the manual opposed to just coasting and riding/ balancing in manual.. by being in control of the manual (this takes lots of experience in manualing) you need to swing your body with the board to get a sorta wiggle going to continue a manual on flat surface. its called ''spacewalk'' in skateboard terms. a skateboard guru once told me riding switch would improve you regular manuals. it really does. so practice on that and you'll see the result. i'm not joking, i don't know the logic behind it, but it sure helped me.

manuels aren't that hard. it will take time but the faster u go, the easier it is. i've perfected manuels i'm now working on nose manuels. i think i've nose manueled 2:48 seconds now those are a whole different story.

first off manuals arnt too hard to learn. second mastering the trick is the hard part any chump can lift the front of his board up but it takes skill to keep it there. 3rd it helps if you keep you back foot square on the middle of your tail and 4th keep you front foot behind the front bolts
