What a fantastic group of musicians and fun people. It's hard for me to overstate how much I dig these guys. Davis writes really great songs, and the Wilson brothers keep your head spinning with their musicianship. "Simple Tunes for Troubled Times" is almost always in my rotation of CDs. There's not a bad thing on it.
Shoot. About 5 years ago one summer, I spent every Monday night at the Green Door in East Lansing, MI watching Steppin' In It. It was an all out jam session with a stage packed with musicians. Great times. I wish they could take that atmospehere on the road with them.
If anyone has a clip of "Mississippi Queen" it would be greatly appreciated. This littel clip is nice, but it surely doesn't do the band justice.
Don't get me wrong, they're a good group of musicians. That summer when I spent my Monday evenings at the Green Door showcased a band that welcomed friends on stage often with a dozen or so musicians on stage. It was great. It was truly a jam. I enjoy that atmosphere and that kind of creativity. I look back and that was nearly 7 years ago. Maybe these guys don't want that now.
These guys are HOT
