tell you .... my dogs are halve labrador and something else without me teaching em they gave me their paw but i think ya have to have your hand while they are sat down in range for em then say "give me your paw " and maybe it works i mean i did that as a joke but they actually did it but i aint saying your labrador will do it i think is when they grow a bit older too but i dont know sadly i aint a dog trainer but give it a go ^^ unless ya allready did

its really easy. first off you need to teach your dog paw. to do it snap by his paws and if he doesn't respond grap his paw and shake it do this again and eventually move on to "shake" or "high five" you can reward your a treat but i find they dont need that for this trick you simply just praise him and give him scratchs.

I got my dog to do this by a weird, quirky accident! I threw a toy down the side of the couch because she was obsessing over it, she tried to get it back and couldn't, I held up my hand and said "if you give me a high five, I'll get it" and she did it!

So I made a big fuss of the event, got her toy and some treats and I practiced it with her, now she can do 'High Five'
