  • shutup man

  • limp bizkit!

  • not trying to burst your bubble..

what if the router username is not "admin" at all ?

  • @southprk76 Then you have to find out what your routers username is.

  • @SOF006

  • I don't have sshatter directory. What can I do?

  • thx it worked fine for me... now

  • how do u get the xhydra thing cas when i type it in run it says it cant find it

  • I even put my routers correct password in the password file and hydra completely ignores it. It says it attempted using that password in the output but it didnt work. Sigh*

I cant get medusa or Hydra to work from the command line or from the GUI. Gay...

  • Thanks dude :) Hope this works for me :D

  • ok my mom lost my username and pass for my router and the company doesnt no it and i have to port forward something can u tell me how to get the pass?

  • @brandonsg123 "mom lost -MY- username and pass for -MY- router".

Sorry, had to chuckle at that :P

First question's first. Have you tried Admin and password &/or Administrator and password?

Do a google search for Hydra or xhydra. Hell, I think even backtrack may include it these days, can't recall.

  • @BotsNStuff *sarcastic* no i havent -_- its fine im over it

  • @brandonsg123 lol sorry man, always the first question to ask, unfortunately...

  • where to download XHYDRA...??????cant find it anywhere

  • @ThenoobQ It's in backtrack.

  • @ThenoobQ

    zsh 4226 % bzgrep -iHn xhydra README.bz2

(standard input):75:For Linux users, a GTK gui is available, try "./xhydra"

    get yourself some gnu/linux. :)

(or use the command-line version. i recommend it over the GUI version, as it's more flexible.)

  • Pretty cool, found through "Recommended videos".

  • NIIIIIIICE!

  • fuck man ur brillant

  • someone gave me a router and I want to use it...I have to change some settings inside it so I hope this will work...

  • where did you obtain the list???

  • Im getting a lot of errors like this:

Error: Child with pid xxxxx terminating, can not connect.

  • so you added the password that you previously know to the password list you have just edited to know the password is there any use ?

  • Thanks for your reply GLINA. Would you have a good video for nmap

  • What a idiot lol MASTER LMAO

  • dosent work with a list ,brute force takes weeks so nothing great ...

  • you sound like a little punk... "... you can call me ... uh... mad-joker... ... or uh... ... master.... most people do." lol ... "happy cracking" lmao....

and no proxy use? consider yourself logged joker

i guess that's why they call you "mad-joker"

  • una mierda para ti

  • good work but check this out

    ww.youtube.com/user/theoriginalfatdonkey

  • u'll get the cops called on you for loidering by the time you get the program open

  • would you have a video on how to use nmap with bt3

  • @doggyme1 nmap target

  • @linuxstyles marry me

  • why does no one cared to try the proxy? u sure don't want your ip to pop up on the target's log now do u?

  • coz most hackers that are into Wi-Fi, use someone elts IP so it dont relay matter lol

  • 1. to hack wifi you shouldn't be associated with an AP in the first place so there is no IP there.

    2. he is not hacking wifi he is hackin logins (with xhydra, which not very useful for WiFi).

    3. Even if you use someone else's connections it is always good to cover ur tracs as much as you can.

P.s I posted that cause for some reason Xhydra wouldn't work with proxy for me. have u tried it?

  • @mahndual That depends, a Proxy will only protect you so much. If you was to drive around and find an open WiFi then all you have to do is change your MAC address, crack the WEP or WPA, connect. Do your shit -> get out and then change your MAC address again. Theres no proof of you being there.

  • hahaha it was funny when you said he isnt a hijacker but he just got hijacked Nice tut. !

  • Good tutorial, i understood it. 8)

linuxstyles do you have a router password list links? And could you show links about good password lists?

  • it is much difficult to crack the very common router, which is the 2wire router. God i have problems cracking it...cause its not a usual Username/Password. Its in a form that only requires password

  • awesome tutorial...

anychance you could share your password list on pastebin/rapidshit?

i'm having trouble making a good one.

    keep up the good work

  • Thanks Master!

  • Brute Force is where it will try every combination of everything, forever: No need for a List.

  • tobyreynolds,

It's not a brute force lol. A brute force doesn't require a passwd list. It's a dictionary attack.

  • @linuxstyles a password list is a "dictionary", dolt. When they say dictionary attack they don't mean we bust out the Webers and start chunking them at the computer bro.

  • Look, this is just a demonstration. His password list is one that he made up because brute force cracking can take hours- even days. To make things quicker for his video, he already knew the Login and PW and set the login name as the one he knew it was, and made a short pw list with the correct pw in it. If you don't know the username and it's not a normal one, it could take a VERY long time to crack. Good demonstration though.

  • do you have a password list i can use

  • my router doesn't use a username just a password so what will i do. Could you upload the password list you used

  • nmap the router.

find out what ports are open on the router.

try cracking another service on the router with only passwd auth using xhydra. usually, if you crack the telnet port and the passwd is "johndoe" the router passwd for the GUI will be that also.

  • @linuxstyles that is... not what he asked at all.

@doggyme jfgi. there are tons out there. phenoelit-us [dot] org/dpl [slash] dpl.html is a good place to start. you'll have to text-process that, so brush up on your awk and sed.

  • I actually had a question.

I have a 2wire router. Unlike other routers where they ask you to provide username and password, 2wire only requires a password, but only when you try to modify something on the router. In this case, in BT3, under protocol, what would you set the setting for? (since when you access the router through the browser, it doesnt automatically prompt for username/password). Also, since no username is required, i assume we leave that field blank right? I will try to figure...

  • sweeet! lol

Its funny because I went with my girlfriend to get her nails done at this shopping center. They had an AP with WEP encryption. Since they take fuckin forever to do nails, i decided to hack into the network lol and change the SSID. I was able to hack the WEP Key, but was unable to make modifications because I had to login to the router. Due to my lack of knowledge, I couldnt login lol

Im gonna try this when i go back. Thanks for the tut. Im subscribing

  • tight ;p
