You should get your ears checked.  Morten hits those notes quite well for a live show.

Ever think it might be hard to hear yourself with 50,000 (or however many) fans screaming at you? Plug your ears once....the trapped sounds of your voice travel through your nose as vibrations that are much clearer to your brain than outside sound waves. He's not "playing" with his earpiece.
