1-) You can simply pause the game, so that you can switch the controller's plug. You don't have to wait for the word "HIDEO" to appear.

Yes, it is possible. Just insert the disc on the PlayStation 2 "drawer" and then it'll read the game. The PlayStation 2 has the ability to read PSOne games. It even has the ability to "enhance" your PSOne games' graphics.

Press the PS Button, after select the controller settings and change the position controller to 2. Default is 1, change to 2. Now you can to kill him!

One thing I hate about this battle with Psycho Mantis is the blackout. I can't stand. When I did this a long time ago when I was 9 when the blackout happened it scared me and my cousin. But we managed to beat his crazy ass anyway.
