Even though I've only been in Newark Penn a few times, I have to say it's the greatest train station ever. With so many trains around me, I thought I was in heaven.lol
penn station in newark is a shithole today!!! back in the day it was most likely a nice looking station you got bums bothering you for change and crap its lousy and so is the one in NYC even worst
I didn't have any problems with bums bothering me for money. It's still a nice looking station. I had a worse problem with bums in downtown Chicago the other day. New Jersey was nice.
Actually, NJT's ALP46 units can handle 10 Multilevel Cars on their own. They'll need a second unit (for doubleheading or push-pull) if more than 10 Bi-Levels are on their trains.
i see these trains all the time i want to ride in them also not tht im handicapped but how do handicapped people sit down if you have to climb stairs to get the bottom floor or the top floor
and the end of each car where the doors are, you walk through an area about 10 feet long where you can sit if u are handicapped without having to go up or down stairs. At the end of that little area there are stairs to go up or down
sounds like a vaccum

I was only in New York Penn once. We rode NJT back to Newark from there. I didn't really look around in the station all that much.

Outstanding Video. I think I saw this train on the NJCL today. Was the cab Control car #7010?

I've seen the ALP44's on the Multilevels, too. But it's the ALP46's. They're more stronger.

Why do only ALP-46's carry the Bi-Level's, I'm sure that the ALP-44's can carry them too!
