Recently discovered this beautiful, moving film on Netflix and it has quickly become one of my favorites. And tristanladyhawk, Valentino is my passion too! Because of him, I have discovered other silent films I love such as this one, "Way Down East," and several others. Thank you for positing this--wonderful video.:)
I can watch a gory zombie movie where every single character is torn to pieces by their former friends and find some silly detail to laugh at, but just one scene from this movie makes me cry. And this scene isn't even the saddest bit of the movie. Amazing.
Thank you so much for posting this. This beautiful scene stuck in my mind and I finally saw the whole movie and loved it.. all because I randomly came across this clip you posted.

@Plasjif That's just the way we spoke back then. I remember singing "red and yellow, black and white" in Sunday school.

one of the most heart breaking films I have ever seen. Ms. Gish and Mr. Barthelmess' performance moves me to tears everytime I watch this film.

Such a delicately ethereal film and performances from
the two stars.

Great video clip and I've given you five stars. I've created a video clip featuring Richard Barthelmess and many other 1920's movie stars.
