For those who want to know when Jorja Fox will be back on CSI, the answer is, Season 8. She will appear on the first 5 or so episodes of season 8, starting April,3 2008. Thank goodness :)Her last episode will be aired in Mid-November.

"Who and What" is episode 8x06 - that's the crossover with "Without a Trace", the week AFTER that is 8x07 "Hello and Goodbye/Goodbye and Good luck" that is Jorja/Sara's last episode for now... Carol Mendelsohn AND Jorja are both confident about her return... but hey, nothing's set in stone!

Don't worry about Grissom returning to Catherine, however, since there was never anything to return to. A romantic relationship between the two leads has only ever existed in the fantasies of some fans.

Conrad Ecklie (played by Marc Vann) is the Assistant Director of the crime lab on CSI. He can be nice sometimes, but is basically known for being a strict boss who gives the CSIs a hard time, and none of them really like him. More info on the cast is on Wikipedia. :-)

Katherine's right, she survived!! This episode is a can't miss episode. And this promo only shows the first half of the episode. Sara gets out from under the car, but then she has to survive the desert. Nick and Sophia find her and she is not breathing. The medics come and take sara and grissom on a helicopter. Sara opens her eyes and she survives.

I too have been watching this over and over. i can't wait. i don't think that Sara should live. Gil is a man all about being saddened by the risks he never took. I think if Sara is alive and everyone knows about their relationship it would be too hard to make his charater into a happy charater. i think it would be true Gil form if he had to deal with the loss of Sara. I'm not saying I want it to happen that way but that seems to fit the show.

Agreed about the excitement for this season premiere tops all others, generally the premieres are a disappointment (season 7 excluded) but I think they need to capture the fans excitement throughout the summer - dunno about you but I have been a LOT more into CSI this summer than I have been in a long time!

I think putting this main character up in danger was actually needed this time around. I find myself in a can't wait mood for CSI to come back... Personally I don't like the character Sara, and I know this actually has puts some hype in the show for thoses that actually want her to die and thoses who don't.

Few people (if any) care about all the characters equally, but even if Sara weren't my favorite character, her relationship with Grissom is such an important part of what makes CSI special and appointment TV that the show would lose its appeal without her.

Actually, that's not necessarily true---we see her quote and quote drown but we don't actually see how long she's under the water; there have been cases of near drownings. And there are actually spoilers that say otherwise. Grissom's not necessarily crying, he's extremely frustrated that when they find the car, she's not there.

Sara can drown because it does rain in the desert and it could kill Sara because she is trapped under the car. But if you notice, it is not raining when Grissom finds the car. I really really want Sara to live, but chances are she is not going to live.
