I have a double hose reg. I found from actual exp. that if you sling the tank low on your back you breath better. Swimming vertical is the same. Never read Tillman's but I have experimented in the ocean. Also if u have to swim face down and horizontal, I found that once in a while if you look over your right shoulder you get a nice breath of air. Ya gotta stay calm to use these regs.
@Gilldiver According to Tillman's "Underwater Education" (1962): "When using a double hose regulator the height of the tank and regulator must be above the critical free flow location when you are vertical and looking up." While I realize you can fine tune the regulator's performance by the height, if the tank was any lower the J valve function couldn't have been demonstrated without an extender. Ultimately regulators of this era are never going to perform as well as a Scubapro MK25/S600 anyhow.
Good work, so I like more when you work without mask in breatholding scenes, can you work in this option??, you can stay underwater 3minutes.............I remember... kisses Iara
You should never dive alone, even in swimming pool with a cameraman.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Your tank is way to high up, the reg can needs to be between your shoulder blades.

Watching this gives me a lot more respect for Lloyd Bridges. And for everyone else who used this type of gear back in the day.

Nice demo of the gear. Agree with Kohntarkosz - you need a black two-piece smoothskin beavertail wetsuit to go with this gear! :)
