I have a turbo joystick. Beating all these guys took a lot of practice...and a cheap yet legal manuever during the Fire Man battle.

fire man is the hardest boss from megaman 1 (excluding that famous one!)

well with Fire Man it's like impossible to go flawless. You're pretty much guarantee to get hit.

I do know that, but the point was to defeat these guys without getting hit; hence why I stuck with the Mega Buster until I could hit a Top Spin without the danger of taking damage.

Really nice job with the challenge.

Yeah, there are at least two bosses you'll need to rely on luck and they are bright man and air man.

Bright man tends to cheaply stop you and then jump on you while Air man uses these cheap shots wich are impossible to dodge at.

Actually Brightman is pre-programed to activate the flash stopper at the 12th, 20th,and 24th unit of health. But it's still tricky not to get hit.

My emulators have AVI-recording features. I record my movies in AVI format, then edit them with Windows Movie Maker or Camtasia Studio.

I think, you did brightman many times... he's hard to dodge whrn he jumps and you're fixed by his flash.

It took me 30 attempts for a flawless Bright Man battle. That Flash Stopper-high jump was a killer.

before seeing the 3 pages of this comments, when I saw you use the pause trick on fireman I tried to do it myself and got it after 10-15 tries. I used ice but never shot him until his back was turned. Until then I just carefully jumped over his shots and him. As a result, he would only fire back once in retaliation, which can be jumped.

Out of that set of Robot Masters, the only ones i've beaten without taking damage are Gravity Man and (i think) Drill Man, Charge Man and Centaur Man. But jeez, the Fire Man battle was a real anticlimactic end! i watched another battle and figured out that (this happened before i read Iddjy's comment) he won't attack you unless you attack him.

Well, here's the deal, I do use turbo with the Mega Buster. (I don't consider that cheating, especially since the bosses have a small period of invulnerability when damaged.)

In regards to the Fire Man battle, I did not have the knowledge I had when I made this video three months ago. I didn't want to, but I ended up resorting to the pause glitch after 60 attempts (again legal in my eyes).

My goal was to determine the pattern of his attacks, which is my usual method. Because I also was trying to beat him quickly, his attacks were so random that I could not pinpoint his exact pattern. I learned the method a while after I posted the videos. He was the last guy I had to beat, and because I wanted to get this done, I resorted to the pause glitch. I didn't want to, but it was the only way I knew then could beat him flawlessly.

Yes, it's possible, and with the mega buster, too.

All you have to do is run at Fireman: he's a coward, he'll just try to get away from you and won't shoot fire. Only when you hit him will he turn briefly and unleash a retaliatory fireball. You can check on my profile.

Yep. The attacks are so random that it is nearly impossible to plan your jumps ahead of time. Factor in the speed in which he unleashes his Fire Storm attack and it is that much harder. I literally tried 60 times to beat him without that shortcut and I just could not do it. And since I'm not using Game Genie or Game Shark, I didn't consider this cheating; it's merely exploiting a flaw in the game's programming.

I have the first megaman game and I've played it I say screw it if you find a quick way to kick a bosses ass, go with it! However They're weakness is the weapon that uses up the least energy kicking their ass.

That's one way to put it. To me, the weakness is the weapon that deals the most damage per hit. In these videos, my goal was to defeat the bosses flawlessly, not necessarily beating them quickly. I studied their patterns and devised strategies, and sometimes it meant just sticking with the buster. A good example is the Tomahawk Man battle. I had the Plant Barrier, but since using it required me to get up close to him, I instead opted for the buster, so I could keep my distance.

Also, I should mention that I did have the Plant Barrier weapon in my Tomahawk Man battle, but I used the Mega Buster instead, since using the Plant Barrier would require me to get real close to him, therefore making it extremely difficult to avoid his attacks.

I actually said the Master Weapons were optional. I only used the Mega Buster if I didn't have the right weapon to use against a boss. And since you have to fight at least one guy in each game with no weapons, I just had to pick the bosses that I was most comfortable with fighting with just the Mega Buster. When I put this together, I tried putting the easier fights first and the harder fights last.
