  • Use X to look on the world map, then you could see what it all is. Or maybe that would ruin the mystery.

  • Jeez this game is super deep right off the bat. Almost as intimidating as df. It'd be nice if there was a tutorial mode in this game... It definitely needs one.

  • On my current character I beguiled a snapjaw brute, and he has been incredibly useful

  • Never EVER have 79 Ego and Temporal Fugue....

    Your clones can create clones

  • Great LP Helmet. You deserve all of the views of Jef got from this :p

  • lol i was trying to delete the 2nd comment and wow i didnt think i would get a reply that fast

  • cause i have a rifle and a sword but i dont know how to use the sword just the rifle :(

  • @armymanj Press ESC and then k in order to see the keybinding / command menu.

  • is there place i can read all the controls cause i'd really like to know

  • How do you have your items displayed in those invintory slots? Id like to use that too.

  • @Kwaiibunneh You mean the e(quip) and i(nventory) menus? Press those keys (e / i)

  • wings + regeneration + nightvision + thick fur = one kick ass mutant :3

  • For some reason, 2 out of 3 times whenever i try to go to redrock im interrupted by a two headed boar. and, when i try to enter redrock it says there's nothing to pick up

  • @Gmodhacka Press + to enter an area

  • Is there any way to create freshwater in the game, from salty water or plants? would be really handy, cause i don't want to drink up all my money ;D

  • If I could suggest something, going south of joppa and collecting a few glowfish corpses can help. They weigh 5 lbs each, but they hydrate you and fill you up, so as long as you have a high strength, you can carry quite a few around :P

  • do a gearhead lp! (unless youve already done one)

  • @ChannelFadge I've been playing around with GH2 and I may do a video or two of it, depends on if I can figure out a good way to move through the quests / missions at a decent speed. So far it takes me way to much time to figure out where I'm supposed to go / who I'm looking for.

  • The inventory weight limit in these games is always the fun stopper :(

    Ah well.

  • Coq... really.. COQ is its abreviation lol.. Whatever i wont be immature about it but it made me giggle.

  • Great video, glad you're enjoying it!

  • @unormal Your team has made a great game! I'm glad you're still supporting it and listening to the community.

  • I just downloaded this and for the life of me I can't figure out how to get to the main map. Everything else works fine, but how do you open the map...?

  • @SaiaiChan The - key on the keypad but I think you have to try and leave Joppa first. If you're on a laptop then it might not work.

  • @SaiaiChan You can also use the < key to leave onto the map. Also don't forget to save every so often.

  • Wow, could this game be the one I've been looking for for a long time? Mutations sure do sound fun...

  • Awesome, I was going to ask if you would do this game next but didn't know if you would since it is still in alpha. Can't wait for this series.

Was sad you finished Rogue Survivor, but this more then makes up for it.

  • @harminoffendl Well if you have any other suggestions for a roguelike just throw down a name in the comments. I'll try to check it out and record it if I can with my software.

  • @PlumpHelmetPunk @PlumpHelmetPunk Well if you are looking for a story based graphical roguelike you could give unreal world a try.

There is also a pretty good Space Based roguelike called Prospector.

Another game, though not a roguelike but a 3d island survival type game (like castaway) is Stranded 1 and 2. You start out on an island and need to survive on it. I think it would make a pretty good let's play

    Enjoy!

  • @harminoffendl I don't really think Stranded would be good as a roguelike. Isn't it a bit linear?

  • @MasterAsra Yeah there is a few different modes, and a few mods you can get for it. Campaign is linear, but there is also single island and random island in which you can do as you want.

  • ego= better sells and you get more for your items supposidly

  • Woo! Does this mean IVAN is coming back?

  • @Meanmelter Muhahahah! YES :D

  • @PlumpHelmetPunk I expect many great and hilarious deaths from you.

  • Great job!

I see that you found a way to increase the sound!

  • I was hoping you'd get around to playing Caves of Qud eventually. I greatly enjoy your roguelike LPing. :)

  • speaking of post-apocolypic games, have you thought about doing a lets play of Wasteland?

  • @roflman I've thought about it but then remembered I know nothing about the game other than I would get killed within 10 minutes of starting it, every time. I think "mynameisnotlilly" has a completed playlist of it though.

  • Wow. THAT was close... That damned chamaleon. Good use of grenades :D.

  • @Deon023 Woah Deon, you really got into this, judging by the comments. I'm definitely going to have to give this game a try. Thanks to plump I won't do the same strategy I do in all Roguelikes(sleeping on stairs) and die too early.

Great playthrough Plump! You are quite the talespinner!

  • @MasterAsra I am just too hyped about Plump doing it :). Can't stop commenting :D

  • Nooo, don't sell nuggets! They weight MUCH less than the water that they cost...

  • Daww, I need to run away for to do something, but I can't stop watching :P.

I'm glad you've started these series!

  • It's not "zero two", it's "defense -2", armor reduces your dodging ability but gives you protection. Yeah, chainmail armor is better, it removes less of your DV.

  • Oh Enclave. I always joke about them and their oil rig. Usually at BP's expense. :P

Thanks for this Plump, I'm playing this as I watch, and because of this I didn't have to blunder around for half an hour trying to figure out the controls!

Heheh, you ate the bat's head? Sharoooon!

  • A little tip about drams: do not carry too much. The "richer" you are, the more weight you have to carry, so it greatly limits you.

Good trading goods are "nuggets". They ALWAYS cost the same, both for selling and buying, so you may want to invest in them as quick as possible.

They you can store items in any of the Joppa's houses.

Also unless someone sees you, you can safely loot other chests ;D.

  • Im glad to see more rougelike's, most of them are hard to get into, so seing someone else introduce one is a nice and entertaining (especially with the Plump at the helm) way to decide on playing it yourself. So thank you for that and i hope to see more :). May we even see some ADOM soon me wonders.

  • And by the way, you are no longer screwed with starting items in the latest verstions :P.

  • Willpower and ego are the most important stats for mutants btw. You made them sound like something secondary :P.

For true humans they are not that useful though.

  • A few suggestions: auto eat and drink may save you boredom, but it greatly limits your resource management which is one of the main points of the game.

As an example, you may want to save some advanced food and gather plants while you can to use that food in areas without plants.

Another problem is autopickup - it takes your time units, so it may be VERY bad during combat I think.

  • LOL at the tags

  • A very interesting game Plump. Looking forward for more.

  • Holy shit. You're doing THIS game. It will be awesome. Really looking forward to it proceeding.

  • Damn... This game loos unbelivably complicated. I downloaded it and got killed instantly outside town.

  • @MWaser That's how old school Roguelikes work. Have you ever played ADOM or Nethack?

  • I never played old roguelikes. But newer ones can be hardcore too. It's just not good if you die becouse your first opponent gets a crit on you -_- I couldn't talk with anyone, so I just decided to go EXPLORING. It did not end well.

  • @MWaser It's actually good, because you have to evaluate your enemies before attacking them :).

    Otherwise it's too easy.

  • I was going into this completely clueless as to what caves of qud was (image too small to really nail that it's a rogue like) and the only thing in my mind is "Oh boy! Story Time with plump!"

  • An interesting game indeed. I'm gonna have to try it for myself.

  • Great! Rougelike's are a mass of FUN.

  • PlumpHelmet, do you have a list of every rougelike game in the world? Just asking since I've have had a lot more fun in Roguelikes than other games.

  • @TheZomboify Check the list at roguelikedevelopment(dot)org (located on the left toolbar of the front page, under "Affiliates").
