Different things like gunfire nearby, one of the NPCs or even the player could've been close enough that the sound caused her to start being agitated. After she is agitated her range grows so he was probably within this radius and that set her off after a moment.

On Expert, to make it harder when Witches hit you you die instantly. This doesn't happen on Easy, Normal or Advanced, just Expert

ok, so far, I dont beleive that it is on expert,because only head shots and immobilizing wounds stop the infected.But its still great clips,got lucky on tthat hunter,and you gotta get low more often and move quicker when not.and loose the sniper,that is for multi-player. The Hunter Feath Toward the end is awesome.You should have zoomed in on the Tank at the end.Hindsight is always 20/20 but just some pointers.When Left 4 dead comes round me all else stops.
