I remember when the old sludge works were still there. Back in the 80s there was this little lane that went off from the perimeter road...Probably the last remnants of the old Heathrow village country lanes. You could drive down it back then. I wish I'd taken some photos.

cool vid!!! Iv flown from Heathrow Terminal 5 and its hugh, never seen anything like it!!! But did prefer terminal 3 cus they didnt loose all of our luugage!!! LOL!!! The building was shexcii!!!! haha!!!

yes - Singapore Airlines uses the A380 on a daily flight to Heathrow terminal 3, arrives 05.55 and departs 11.45, I live near Heathrow and often see it.

Let's stop knocking them. My heart goes out to all the hardworking people who was and are involved in this project.The problems will be resolved soon. But why no choice for the passengers. There is a expensive black Taxi choice but no signs displaying information on how to book a minicab. For some passengers a Hackney cab is not within reach of their budget

Lets give this project huge support, I am sure it will get better very soon. Although they seem to be encouraging passengers to use the rank taxi's which are not within some customers financial reach and this is the only terminal that I have not seen signs displaying minicab options with displayed telephone numbers.

The dome, tilting trains, the eurostar, the list goes on. Britain is now regarded as an embarassment. Look at beijing airport. no problems whatsoever. Its guaranteed no top brass will be sacked. Given the same circumstances a "normal" emplyee would be sacked without a hefty pension. another national disgrace fromm a country that used to lead.

Well living here stateside, I am not pleased that all flights from the USA will be leaving more efficient and less crowded Gatwick for Heathrow because of the Open Skies Agreement made between the Federal Government and the UK Government. This will be a major inconvience.

It is simply brilliant! Briton has an airport it can be proud of it. Visited it last week, as part of the trial team. BA have the best airport terminal in the world!

terminal 5 will replace the old terminal 2 which is used mainly for european departures. its next to the queens building -as you drive in from under the tunnel. its also more than 40 years old. in the meantime it has processed many millions of passengers in that time. also when it rains you have to put buckets in the basement as the water is coming into the baggage belt area !! so it will be closed in march 08

I hope british efficiency is up to it - you never know.

Probably. The Concorde at the entrance of T3 is gone, and i assume it will be put with the rest of the BA airplanes.

it looks allright, nothing spectuacular, just a new terminal that obviously pisses all over third world terminals 2 and 3. At the end of the day It is done in that plain white box style all new UK airports like Bristol and Stanstead are done with. It's still no Sigapur or Madrid Barajas.

lol, Barajas is a regional airport compared 2 Heathrow. I dnt think u realise that Heathrow is in the top 3 busiest airports in the world.

Barajas takes probably 2million passengers a year, Heathrow take 35x that much
