Its evil shit. i have never done it, I was lucky enough to be educated on its effects, and see first hand enough to scare me from ever considering trying it. But i know a girl whos 32 now, her dad was a cooker for a local biker outfit all his life, finally passing away at 64 years old, after exposing his kids, wife, and family to this BS I wonder if fro the grave he can view his little girl now, and how it makes him feel? With kids of her own, she does good to get out of bed daily, sad.........
i did meth from 2005 to 2008 in june 6 of 2008 i was locked up in TDCJ for 2 years now im out i go to NA im clean i have a job tho im watching this i feel like former addicts can still learn from our past i just wanna say that there is hope im a 24 year old former gangbanger ive sold drugs did them shot at people cuz of it i made a ass of my self now i just wanna help people avoid that life
apart from the subject matter, this is an absolutely shitty production. from the extended "promo" intro to sound you can't hear to the half face, back of head shots to the quick cuts between meandering conversations to the redundant "meth is bad" lectures....on and on......this is a waste of time.
yeah we got it, meth is bad, now how about actually documenting something and presenting it in an understandable and meaningful way?
I tried the shit once around '02 or '03,while seperatfrom my wife. Somebody brought it to a party. Made me feel energetic and was drinking a lot of beer.
I didn't like it. Shit was nasty (taste and smell) and gave me a headache a few hrs later and made me feel a lil scared. Pot is better than this(I quit smokin weed around late '90s when my oldest son was born).
Anyhow, sad drug and stories involved around all this.
I thank the Lord that I was never a user. Besides, I love to eat food!!! LOL
I guess I'm one of the few who actually enjoys the drug and doesn't let it take over my life. I've been doing meth for around 24 years now. I still have all my teeth. I have a wife, good job, car, house, etc...etc...I honestly love the stuff. If you know what you are doing people, you can do meth and enjoy it. My comment will probably be deleted. Because God help us if someone actually says something positive about meth. Well, anyway...I spoke my views on it.
@jeffnardone I'm curious: How often do you use meth? How do you take it (smoke etc.)? Never tried it. I do know the gov. overstates the dangers of many drugs and understates others (alcohol).
@jeffnardone I'm amazed that you don't have an insane tolerance to meth. I mean shit, when I smoke my dope for a couple weeks straight It doesn't do anything for me after a while. But I'm also wondering exactly what forestskog asked. Do you use everyday? Do you smoke snort shoot or what? Because definitely the way you do it can change the impact it has.
i dealt meth for 2 years made more money than i could count...lost it all in a bad deal...also lost 2 mates that were shot in the face...and lost ALL respect from anyone that ever knew me...the Game is glamorized in the movies .....in my 20 years in the game i never seen one person prosper....stay away from this shit...smoke a joint instead
@fu3ar25 So you were dealing drugs since you were 12? and sold meth for a bit? That sucks. I lost 3 friends/husbands/soldiers in Iraq executed with swords(wasnt there to see it but picked up the bodies) and these men were defending their country. not selling drugs to kids and adults for money...I guess I am sorry human lives were lost. but they werent doing anything important from the sounds of it and a criminal selling junk is hard to feel sorry for.
We had a user that we locked up to keep him safe himself and to keep others safe. he ended up smashing a reinforced glass in the cell (the kind that has the crisscross wire inside it ) Once he did that he ripped the bulb out and hacked into his arms. Lucky we got him to the medics in time but man how scary it is that this drug can make a normal person do that!
We treated a patient on methamphetamine, who had wrapped a lamp cord around his arm so tight that if we'd arrived a minute later, he would have lost his arm.
As a paramedic, I see the fallout from drug use all the time.
this solves nothing and does not adress people who are endangered of meth abuse. it's weak that nothing is explained and it's all build on horror looks, agressive advertising and encourages denunciation. don't get me wrong meth is very dangerous but horror images wear of while information and good social structure last longer!
Boo-Hoo quit cryin just because youre a Meth Head if youre a drug addict it's no ones fault but yours and no one can make you quit but you. Ive done my share of drugs in my life and tried just about everything and have never been close to becoming an addict. Ive never found any of that shit that I would want to do everyday. Quit the dope and get on with your life!
@guitarrodney - some people are quite easily addicted to stuff, others not so. Just as an example, I get up in the morning, and its usually 45 minutes before I'll head out the door for my first cig. My bro rushes out the door for his the moment he gets up. We've both been smoking over 15 years. I have easily kicked the habit a few times, nothing hard, but it's either drinking or stress that brings me back, guess its not a physical addiction with me, but rather a psychological one.
@guitarrodney it's easy for someone that doesn't have a addictive persoanlity at all to say that. but judging a junkie is only going to make them feel worse e.g. take more drugs
Why is it that when people do these movies all you ever talk about is thier past while their kids (their present and future) are filthy and skinny and totally ignored in the interviews as if they don't matter or exist to the parents
This video was so important. We NEED to hear from people that are kicking meth, that they keep trying, what anyone can do to help. They are still useful, they can help the rest of us to keep away from the "easy" fix. I was there once.
I did alot of meth over 20 years ago from when i was 18 to 20. I was fortunate enough to not have what i call an "addictive personality", so i was able to stop suddenly when i realized what the image in my mirror looked like. I have not done it since, but i've seen many of my friends continue and now most are either in jail, running from jail, broke, toothless. It's really one of the most horrible drugs in the world because of how cheap and addictive it is.
I found myself really pulling for the couple at the end. Despite their problems I think they really want to change. Bless all of the people fighting and give them strength.
Crack was not to bad because it stayed in the black communities....meth is just the white people crack.....whites are experiencing what blacks saw with crack!
This was very interesting and informative, I am not around drugs or anything so I don't know much about this, but was well educated. I want to thank you for posting this wonderful documentary and also the people who took the effort to make it, including those who were hooked on it and thought that telling their story might help some poor lost soul, Cheers!
