@jacsevo You comment made me smile. I will always marvel at my families ability to hold strong when I was depressed and suicidal. They stayed strong, for me, and didn't give up, even when they came so close to losing their daughter/sister.

I would not be here if it weren't for them and their strength and support. So thank you for being one of those courageous enough to carry on, even when it's impossible, for the sake of loved ones! :)

After my parents divorced, my mother dated this man for like a year and they fought almost every night. I would lay in my room at night an hear them in the basement fighting and sometimes i would cry myself to sleep because i loved my mother and i hated to see her suffering. When they finally broke up, she married this man and now she doesnt even know i exist. She wont say a word to me when i get home and even after that she barely talks to me. i just wish she'd realize that i miss and need her

She no longer cares about me and has disowned me from her family has turned into my step dad's personal slave stuck in the kitchen (literally) and when I snuck out at 16 and didnt come home for 3 days she didnt tell anyone.When I moved out at 18 she didnt want me there at all, even for Christmas. Shouldnt she notice something missing? Guess not.

I grew up in an abusive household with drugs and alcohol. This song made me cry, remembering the days my mother threw me out at 18 when I wasn't ready and I was homeless. A lot of the words in this song express what I wasn't able to put into words when I tried to sleep at night on the streets, scared and alone. This song made me cry, but I love it.

@teliomi6 The only good reason to ever run away is if you are being physically or sexually abused. You should defiantly be worried about what happens to you! The real world is a huge slap to the face. If you think for a second, no one will hurt you because your young, you're wrong. This gives them more reason to mess with you. I regret it, only good thing came from it was i got to see the world for what it really was at a young age.

I understand. I was when I was younger from 11 to 17 by my mom's ex-boyfriend.  I was physically and verbally abused by my biological father from the day I came home from the hospital until I was six when I last saw him. Not all abusers become abusers themselves because we all have a choice. We chose to let the cycle of abuse end with us. I am now an advocate for child abuse. I even wrote a petition up for stricter laws against child sex offenders. I made the choice to NOT abuse.
