  • @gromtkn

Make sure you don't pick huge maps, since the AI will no matter what rape you in the settling race since they suffer very little in terms of maintenance costs. Smaller sized maps negate this since they can't expand ad infinitum.

  • MarcVille 6 twice man.... your workers will be confused lol... nice tutorial.

i played civ 2 civ 3 civ 4 have all expansion.. my opinion best game all time, save me lots of money

  • The only way to...learn is to try.

Play monarch over and over. Each time trying different ways to start the game. Different civs.

Restart til you have a good city spot.

its cheap but until you get the hang of it... its essential.

  • You are right...My city names were stupid...LOL...All in fun though...

  • Ive been following your tutorials Great Job it helped me a lot! keep it up

  • stupid name for a city

  • THANKS DUDE! I've got a copy but didn't get the manual :P best guy ever!

  • Thanks, i couldnt be arse to read the manual :P

  • meh advanced start is crap really, cities are too clase together btw

  • Advanced start isn't crap if you don't want to play a MP game with a family lasting four+ months.

And, you are correct, my cities are too close...

  • at about 6 minutes screen stops

  • nvm must b my computer

  • its not too close look closely there are 2 squares between them.

  • I'm sure you already know this but for viewers, might want to point out how your first two cities are too close. The game will let you place them, but you will have working tile conflicts. MarkVille1 will expand two tiles south and MarkVille2 will expand two tiles north. They're going to overlap three tiles and you won't be able to work all 24 tiles a city can utilize. Cities take up a 5x5 grid minus the four corners of the 5x5, giving you 24 tiles.

Great tutorial vid on advanced start!!

  • im circling it im circling im circling it see how im circling it

  • thanks 4 the help... it did actually help me learn the game :)

  • "Markville 4.... now how many have I done?"
