  • "At the foot of the mountain, how do i ever get up there?" Well, my advice is don't even bother. Because as soon as you do, you'll be singing "How do i get the f**k off here! What was i thinking?" :)

  • A love song with bite. Great track!

  • Cool .....PW At His Coolazz Best!!! One Day..I wanna learn how to play this along with other PW TSC Cat Stevens hits thanx KerimMod4Ever

  • He really is The Man!

  • Saw him perform this electric version for the first time at Oxford Apollo, BRILLIANT, BEST SONG EVER

  • I remember this and "Ohio" from that night. He was on fire. I saw him a few months later at Newcastle City Hall,i don't know what he was on then, but it worked.

  • weller was on fire this night at glasto, apparently it was the night he and dc lee split, love this performance, wish he still put as much into hes performances, but he,he still kicks arse!!

  • Awesome version. Great solo as well. You can actually get this version on a bootleg CD called Anytime you want me. It has Ohio from Glasto on it as well.

Not sure whether its quite as good as the version on Live Wood (video/Dvd) from Wolverhampton Civic Hall but still superb.

  • there's a live version - not as good as this one - on catchflame from a 2005 gig at london

this is the best version that i've heard definatley, should be seeig him in may, and i can't wait

  • There is another great version of this. Go to Paul Weller Live. I love Paul and the other version is just as good. Where can I get this? Is it available for downoad from any music sites?

  • wingedheels,it's been 2 months now and no-one has replied!

I am bursting to get my hands on this version as well!!!!

    Anybody help?????

  • Is this version available on CD (audio) somewhere? After watching/listening to this again and again, I have a hard time hearing it any other way. :-/

  • yeh well not this version but theres a good version on live wood and fly on the wall, pretty much the same

  • Such a marvellous song and video.

  • Best line-up, too. That Minchella is such a stupid clown.

  • if she is then weller is a bigger clown, ha, their amazing and weller said she is the real thing on bass thats the important thing

  • What are you talking about, you clueless buffoon? Minchella is a MAN!

  • oh dear really? i didnt know mate, still good bassist, my mistake thanks for the correction

  • this was my favorite lineup too

  • The Jam and The Style Council left me cold but some of Weller's solo work is monumental, like this track,he's the master.

  • ...like a master of some alchemical craft at the height of his powers. And what's encouraging is that he is very much of our times.

  • the wankers in the so called industry, fucked him off saying he was all washed up, is he washed up i dont think so !! this was the comeback and to this day he,s still rocking the mans a genius as this vid shows

  • something very floydian about this song and this arrangement. I love the original and this is even better.

  • It was also the night his marriage ended. Ironic.

  • thanks for all the videos theaceface,i think his glastonbury performance especially "foot of mountain" let everyone know he was back and firing on all cylinders, fantastic mate cheers for the post, the goose bumps have appeared!1

  • top tune top man

  • that whit boy play them drums, front man not bad ether.good stuff

  • bunterx - couldn't have put it better myself!

12 years on Craddock has improved beyond belief. without doubt one of the best guitarists in the UK at the minute.

  • This is why Weller is king! Steve White is unbelievable. Best performance ever hosers!

  • Now that's proper drumming. ;o)

  • fantastic - ive always liked pauls lead guitar playing and steve craddock is just utterly inspiring with his melodic magic that is just so tasteful and perfectly timed. we need more craddocks and less malmsteens and vais in this world but then again theres only one orange cream in the chocolate box of life. Im not a mod by the way just a guitar player who enjoys great playing and great songs - mind you i was one briefly in 79/80 when quadrophenia came out -who wasnt? the puffs and the stiffs.

  • Nice on theaceface
