I love this game mainly because it plays like WoW but doesn't use the shitty WoW engine. I tryed playing Rift before this but Rift used the WoW engine and looked exactly like WoW but with a different world. This game has the best of WoW mechanics, but thankfully is a different engine which I love.

@PersianCorp I think you have the wrong MMORPGs, lol. Runescape doesn't require you to buy classes and whatnot. If you want to pay, then you pay for membership and that's it; you have all of the content. WoW is no where near free(unless it's a private server); where'd you get that idea?

I totally agree with ploxy. I'm currently training a hunter. The game has gotten better and better over the three years it has been launched. Even though some may not like this game, if you do not do not comment on any of the videos. MIne will take like 3 hours. its a rather new PC. windows 7, and has probably about 4 decently sized games on it. The universe of The Lord of the Rings and of all of Tolkien's fantasy universe was created near the 1930's, actually he was the first one to create the races you all know today as: Orcs and Elves and was inspired to make the dwarves, by Nordic Mythology. He even created the Hobbits! So you can clearly see that Warcraft pretty much copied everything from him, they just changed the color of the orcs to green and called their hobbits, gnomes. @frisco1451 I think not, cuz LOTRO has best graphics, best storyline, i mean wow doesn't have storyline at all, you just go and do quests where you need to kill small spider, then normal size spider, then big size spider... but in lotro there is story, unlike in any other mmorpg. I think LOTRO is original

@jacklanting youll just have to wait it out. one of two things will happen. Either it will eventually get a little bit faster or it will just take forever. your pc is slow. MIne will take like 3 hours. its a rather new PC. windows 7, and has probably about 4 decently sized games on it. It had sort of a small hard drive tho. good luck. just wait it out and go play outside.

The universe of The Lord of the Rings and of all of Tolkien's fantasy universe was created near the 1930's, actually he was the first one to create the races you all know today as: Orcs and Elves and was inspired to make the dwarves, by Nordic Mythology. He even created the Hobbits! So you can clearly see that Warcraft pretty much copied everything from him, they just changed the color of the orcs to green and called their hobbits, gnomes. Warcraft sucks, LORD OF THE RINGS RULES! Tolkien Rules!

All games copy off of each other, taking the good and trying to avoid the bad. That's how everything, in general, evolves. Yes, LOTR Online has a lot in common with WoW. But by those standards, WoW also has a lot in common with Baldur's Gate/Previous MMOs. And Baldur's Gate was based off D&D.
If you haven't figured it out yet, everyone steals from each other to help form the best product possible. Don't rag on Turbine for not changing an already good system.

The game is online right now. It has been for some time, long before World of Warcraft. And it is free-to-play coming this Fall in 2010. If you are too impatient, there is a beta going around until August 24th, 2010.

@sephuroth1 Say what? WoW was released in 2004 and they worked like 4 years. Therefore, the concept of WoW was born in 2000.
So yes, Lotro copied WOW that copied another games. But the thing is that those "other games" that WoW copied, are not online anymore, therefore WoW didn't copy shit.
