  • WHY DID YOU DO THIS TO US

  • what do you call it when it feels so good to hear something beautiful it bring tears to your eyes then all of a sudden its cut short= wtf

  • 9 Noobs are the most envious of the WORLD

  • to whom it may concern... You have just cut off about 4-6 measures of the ending. This is REALLY annoying to musicians. (we love to hear the rest of the phrase,) >_<

    Sincerely, An Annoyed Musician

  • I love Wynton Marsalis, but in this case, he drowned out the rest of the orchestra. This is not a jazz band...

  • @yankeeshogun its called a trumpet feature

  • Augh! Finish the movement! Finish the movement! Don't do this!

  • 2nd*

  • playing this Concerto Just now, love it. 2 movement has to keep moving or it will just drag on. Wynton nailed the tempo !!

  • 7 people are just jelly :)

  • So were Schbert and Sir Edward Elgar, but most seem not to mind.

  • ummm your missing a few measures...

  • WHY IS THIS STUPID, INCOMPLETE RECORDING STILL ONLINE ??

  • Why would anyone post an INCOMPLETE RECORDING ?

    SILLY, STUPID, AND TOTALLY UNACCEPTIBLE.

  • im playing this too (not that well) but my friend dont want to play with me

  • is he playing on a Bb or a Eb horn?

  • @ch33zpuff Eb horn

  • what a fucking wanker after helping make a doco about how jazz is the greatest music of all time dismissing every other musician hes caught playing classical trumpet

  • I find this a rather hard and unyielding performance; listen to Maurice Andre to hear the difference. a performance at once more gentle, singing, and nuanced as well as human.

  • @billyguns2 I agree! Listen to Tine Thing Helseth also for a better rendition than his!

  • certainly better than that buffoon mic gillette trying to play haydn

  • I agree @tubaplayer92 - it's a pity the last bit of this movement is missing - nonetheless a great performance from a fantastic musician!

  • One of Haydn's prettiest melodies! Beautifully played by Wynton Marsalis!

  • Marvelous performance of a classic. A masterpiece...

  • hitler would have loved this

  • @atirisdes

    Hitler preferred Wagner

  • @atirisdes LOL!!

  • Why would you do this to us kwonotae? I long for a resolution! Why be so cruel?

  • Expressão maravilhosa

  • Why the end is missing!!!

  • Wynton Marsalis shows his versality by switching from the Entertainment world. This is a musical effort overall but to my ear, it lacks the refinement, and the "cantabile" implied by the title of the movement.

  • This guy has some chops. I gotta practice this song for a contest in my state. 10 months of practicing i dont think i will get any where close to this guy but this is my favorite movement.

  • The second movement is cake relative to the first and third movement, with the first being the hardest (in my opinion).

  • How the fuck can he play through 3 movements back to back anyway? This shit is like 20 minutes of hardcore playing...

  • @James9533 i guess when performing and playing the horn is your job, u gain some amazing endurance. I have met people who can play practice 4-6 hours straight on the trumpet D= of course they were in college but still... lol

  • (: LOVE THIS PIECE

  • I wish it didn't cut it off. I love Winton

  • @SupaChard89 Fucking spelled it wrong... fuck

  • This recording NEVER gets old. I just love it.

  • see my videos please :)

    and great post.

  • Why is this silly shit still here ?

It stops about ten pages before the end of the piece !

  • actually schilke eb trumpet

  • What key is the trumpet he's playing? It looks like too much distance between the back and the valves to be a Bb

  • not just that, it looks like the mouthpipe goes directly into the valves. There's no normally placed tuning slide...

  • tts the monette trumpet with a monette mouthpiece

  • Eb trumpet

  • Silly fucking post.

    Where's the ending ???

  • It's missing 4 measures!!!!!! it's killing me

  • same! :<

  • @tubaplayer92

    Hi hi

And I just ....let the music be :))

  • where is the end???

  • Ah bollix!!!!!!!!!!

  • I studied this nearly 20 years ago. Not heard it in years and years. Knew every note.

  • Well, apparently the person who put it up here doesn't...

  • HA HA!

  • GRAN OBRA Y GRAN COMPOSITOR

  • Морис Андре в 500 раз круче по звуку.Марсалис-джазист,а классику играет как автомат.Тембра настоящего не хватает.серебра в звуке нет.

  • Endlich mal ein tänzerischer 2. Satz vom Haydn

  • Is someone going to find a COMPLETE version of this, or are we all helpless ?

Wynton's version is really nice - but I'm about to delete it and ALL VIDS with his silly ass in them if I can't find a complete version of THIS piece.

What an insult to educated people to post a truncated version of this.

  • it just cut off???????

  • Don't bother with this video - it is not complete and is an insult to educated listeners.

  • Why in God's name does this just crap out before the piece is completed ??

Who can find this COMPLETE and POST IT so we can enjoy Wynton's mastery7 IN FULL ?!

  • I agree. Tom Bergerontom's version is complete. Better, the sound is superior and I think his interpretation is better (all due respects to Wynton). You will love the Bergerontom video.

  • you guys realize he won the Pulitzer Prize for Music i think he knows what he is doing probably the most technical trumpet that ever existed

  • Classically, I think Allen Vizzutti is much better.

  • Molto camminato,,,

  • lol i met that guy in the lincon jazz center

  • oh you're so funny! =P

  • i think his jazz instincts are kicking in, his version isnt as smooth as other great classical players

    still, its a very good

  • Probably a little too fast for an andante for my liking - beautiful movement if he'd played it just a little steadier

  • You realize that's Wynton Marsalis, correct? :P

  • i love this movement. this is my favorite to listen to. wynton played it amazing if only i could play it that well

  • Why the abrupt cutoff at 3:02?

  • I know right it wasnt finished

  • i just love Wynton's phrasing.

  • the most beautiful piece written for trumpet and orchestra,no doubt

  • i tottaly agree

  • agreed

i usually like to hear it more legato than this though

  • I love it!

  • Wow, was he flowin!! The tempo is just right. Enough to keep moving foward and he phrases quite well!

  • yeah good for you. I wish he played it slower

  • sweet im the first to comment :p
