theres an application called Desktop Manager that predates Spaces which provides the exact same functionality and can run on Tiger (even Panther) and PPC Macs FWIW

what other displays say is their response time, is different to the real thing. They measure the start of response, not the honest end of response. So all displays are like 15ms response time. Its true. But the 30 incher display is great. Its so convenient having 2 USB and 2FIREWIRE behind the screen without having an xtra box there!
